Okee heel easy..
ik mailde dus naar maxtor.. over mijn probleem dat ik een stop error.. kreeg het is dus blijkbaar een heel easy iets.. dat je kan oplossen door jumper j46 van je maxtor schijf te halen!
in mijn mailtje werd het volgende vermeld:
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your email. Microsoft have released a document dealing with problems encountered on hard drives after installing Windows 2000 Service Pack 1. Please see:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q271/2/74.ASP
for information on this problem.
Please note that the Cylinder Limitation Jumper, J46 should NOT be set on your hard drive and the hard drive should not be installed using our installation software, MaxBlast if you are using Win NT or Win 2000 as the operating system. Please check that J46, the jumper connecting the middle pair of pins is not set on your hard drive.

To check whether your hard drive is a 15 head drive please look at the information on the big hard drive label under Cylinders/Heads/Sectors. If the number of heads is 15 you can contact us for a utility to change this to 16.
