hoi,

"MEDIUM SPEED ERROR"" CURE ALL ANSWER -AOPEN Posted to CDRW DRIVES on 4/27/2002 4:56:20 PM by Rich West

After having read every single comment on "medium speed errors, from answers like...upgrade firmware, upgrade software, enable DMA, install Nero ASPI drivers, install Force ASPI drivers, install another OS, use different media, remove the jumper at rear of drive, and even oil a ball bearing inside the drive! You can try all these all you like, and you may find success through at least one of them....but my cure all problem to the "medium speed error" is actually very simple...SCRAP YOUR AOPEN DRIVE AND GET ANOTHER KIND OF WRITER!!! And i promise it works everytime for eveyone, unlike all these other wise alec suggestions! It is clear that there is no definative problem and that all these juky drives react differently to these attempted solutions..some work for some, others work for others!! But you bought a writer, wanting to be able to plug it in and burn away!! Right?? So if you want to be able to that...THEN GET ANOTHER BURNER...its not worth the haslle!!!!!

If you have any difficulties after this is tried, Im really sorry...deal with it!! The bootom line is....AOPEN CANNOT MAKE CD-WRITERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
