[xp] desktop tabblad weg

Voordat dit topic meteen gelokt wordt wil ik eerst ff zeggen dat ik al uitgebreid heb gezocht naar een antwoord op mijn vraag en er geen kon vinden, niet in de faq niet op got en niet met google.

Dit is mijn probleem: mijn desktop tabblad bij display properties is weg, al een tijdje. Op internet vond ik wel deze post van een of andere knakker die hetzelfde probleem had:

Somehow I lost the "Desktop" tab in the Display properties!... ... I have searched high and low but no remedy has been discovered yet! It may have occured during an application installation, as one of my system restore points has the "Desktop" tab available but from about a month ago! This problem is the with "administrator" account but not with any other user account! I have dug deep in the registry with no success and have actually utilized and set the proper keys within "GPEDIT.msc" but Desktop tab is still missing!

Weet iemand hier mischien een oplossing voor dit probleem?

je hebt wel gewoon adminrechten? (alhoewel ik me niet kan voorstellen dat juist die weggaat als je minder rechten hebt)

misschien heeft iemand het bestand tweakui op je computer gezet maar dat lijkt me sterk

Ja ben wel als admin ingelogd (t'is trouwens professionel edition weet niet of dat wat uitmaakt)
