[win98]1 computer in netwerkomgeving

niet op slot doen aub, ik heb dit zelf niet eerder gezien en de search doet het niet?

ik heb een getweakde alcatel modem, een hub en 2 computers.
beide computers op dezelfde wijze geconfigureerd:

- client voor ms netwerk
- nic adapter
- tcp/ip
- bestanden delen

pc1: ip 10.0.0.160, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 10.0.0.138, naam pc1, werkgroep thuis
pc2: ip 10.0.0.161, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 10.0.0.138, naam pc2, werkgroep thuis

ze melden aan in windows via client voor ms netwerken
werkt prima, beide computers kunnen het internet op etc.

maar: de pc die het eerst inlogt ziet zichzelf in netwerkomgeving maar ziet de ander niet, ook als ik op volledig netwerk klik zie ik niet "thuis" staan

vb1: pc1 is als eerste ingelogt, als ik op pc1 bij uitvoeren \\pc2 intyp zie ik netjes pc2
of als pc2 als eerst is ingelogt moet ik dus \\pc1 typen wil ik pc1 zien.

vb2: pc1 is als eerst ingelogt, als ik computers zoek via start, zoeken, computer... en ik typ pc1, staat er bij locatie netwerkomgeving, zoek ik pc2 dan staat er bij locatie thuis

Wat zijn je instellingen, is netbios over tcp/ip geinstalleerd enz enz. Geef ten eerste eens wat meer info over de geinstalleerde protocollen etc, maak je gebruik van host files, lijkt me niet en dat je gebruik maakt van wins en dns lijkt me ook sterk.

Maar om niet al te lullig over te komen, waar log je op in Je logt gewoon in op je pc en verder niets, je logt niet in op een server of zoiets. Maar zoek een op (LM)host files etc etc. Zelf gebruik ik wins waardoor je niet echt een hosts file nodig hebt.

op de pc ja, client aanmelding of netwerk aanmelding maakt dan niet zoveel uit maar dat doet er nu niet toe.

die pc's zitten toch direct op ut internet via ADSL en zonder router en dan word alleen maar TCP/IP ondersteunt anders zou het hele ADSL netwerk van de provider+klanten te zien zijn in Netwerkomgeving. Dus is ut geblokkeerd... of zit ik verkeerd???

zoek eens op lmhost of lmhosts, de ze betanden hebben geen extentie zoals .exe en .zip zelf werk ik ondertussen met xp dus weet niet een twee drie waar die staat.

Jij begrijpt het verkeerd het gaat om zijn interne netwerk, dat alcatel modem blokt al het netbios verkeer voor het grootste deel al, laat staan die routers van de providers.

ripexx, ik heb die files aangemaakt maar niks hoor, het ligt erengs anders aan

Je moest ook de files niet aanmaken maar opzoeken, is voor mij te lang geleden geweest dat met W98 heb gewerkt, maar wat leverd het zoeken op je c:\ naar lmhosts op? Dat bestand moet je dan editten. Anders weet ik het ook even niet?

het enige wat ik dan heb is Lmhosts.sam, staat in c:\windows en er staat in

wazig, ik ga naar benden om tv te kijken, kom terug en ik zie werkgroep thuis in netwerkomgeving + de 2 pc's

Ja dat klopt, omdat er geen hosts zijn opgegeven en er geen wins server is specificeerd, zal de pc gaan broadcast en zo dus het netwerk gaan doorzoeken, maar dat kan nogal eens lang duren, de oplossing daarvoor is wins en eventueel de hosts file.

Nu dit file aanpassen door het volgende toe te voegen:
192.168.1.1 pc1
ipadres-anderspc naam-anderepc

Dan ff opnieuw opstarten, want w98 moet ff alles opnieuw inlezen, en dan zou je direct moeten kunnen connecten naar \\pc1 enz.

sam staat voor sample, even de lmhosts bewerken, gewoon ip van de 2 pc's (tabje) computernaam in deze file zetten.
