Hallo.
Ik probeer Kazaa Lite via Wine te draaien. Zonder aanpassingen "wine Kazaa" doen resulteerde al heel snel in een Wine debug schermpje.
Nu staat in de default wine.conf een speciale DLLOverrides sectie voor Kazaa, waarin de volgende DLL's als native staan:
shdocvw.dll
shlwapi.dll
urlmon.dll

Die heb ik dus van www.dll-files.com gehaald en in de /fake-windows/programfiles/kazaa-lite dir gezet. En toen kwam die al een stuk verder, groen opstartschermpje, programmavenster.. tot aan "Connecting".
Vervolgens weer een wine-debug venster met een hoop meldingen in de vorm van
"No debug information in 32bit DLL blabla.dll" *geheugenadres*
en aan het eind Unhandled exception: page fault on readaccess to 0x00000000

Ik kan natuurlijk ook de precieze wine-debugger-output geven, maar zo diep wou ik niet op het probleem ingaan.
Als ik de DLL's die in de debugger-output staan vervang door native Windows-dll's, kom ik dan verder? Heeft iemand ervaringen of zelfs een howto voor Kazaa Lite onder Wine? Ik gebruik Wine 20021031.

Ik had hetzelfde probleem. Ik heb toen andere dll's gedownload uit een link die onderin ergens staat. Daarmee was mijn crash probleem opgelost maar ik kan nu niet connecten :(

edit:
Ik kan wel connecten waarschijnlijk was ik als root ingelogt en ging dat niet goed het werkt nu :) Ik weet niet of sites waar je dll's download warez zijn maar als je die wilt hebben mail me maar

Stuartje, ik neem aan dat je wel ergens een Win9x-CD hebt liggen? Er zijn namelijk freeware archivers die ook CAB-files kunnen openen van de 9x-CD's. Daarmee zou je 'm wel moeten kunnen vinden. Als je geen geldige 9x-licentie hebt, dan houdt 't natuurlijk op ;(

Ik heb zeker een geldige licentie voor Win98, meer dan 1 zelfs. Alleen geven die cab files errors als ik ze open :(

Lezen graag! Er staat dat je een speciaal freeware programma nodig hebt om die windows cabfiles te openen, dan zijn ze niet corrupt.

met winzip kan je cabs openen, maar dat is natuurlijk niet handig als je linux hebt :+ Misschien dat je winzip in wine kan draaien :)

Damn... ik krijg de 2.0 versie niet aan het draaien, de 1.7 wel
Bij 2.0 krijg ik een melding dat ik een onderdeel van Wine geuninstalled heb en dat hij
er mee ophoud.

Heb alles via de howto van frankcorner gedaan.

Wie heeft een id?
Heb het idee dat het te maken heeft met cd_clint.dll ,
maar waar precies moet ik die neerzetten?

Ik heb Kazaa Lite 2.0 hier gewoon draaien met wine (20020904). Niet echt snel of super stabiel (als je na een tijdje draaien naar de opties gaat dan eindig je in de debugger, zelfde als je kazaa afsluit :)) maar het werkt.

Als ik kazaalite probeer te instaleren krijg ik de melding "Dit programma vereist Windows versie 4.1 of hoger". Zal wel iets moeten aanpassen in config, maar kan niet vinden wat.

Windows versie kan je instellen in je config onder de [Version] header (of met de --winver commandline optie).

Versie 2.00 werkt bij mij ook niet (berg foutmeldingen), 1.61 gelukkig wel.
