Ik verwijs voor mijn review even door naar het AVS-forum, dit is een hele interessante projector voor de mensen die digitaal willen gaan, maar niet zo'n enorm budget hebben (ca. 2000 euro).
Veel lees plezier !

[JvS edit]1. Setup
Setup is so darn easy, you just put it anywhere, turn it on, using the lens shift, zoom and focus, and there you go ! Perfect centered image !!
2. Brightness
It's very very bright, just a little too bright for my taste I think, since my room is totally dark, and I have total light control even during the day.
3. Contrast
Contrast is very good, and you notice it very well in the colors.
Black is not completely black (as you would suspect from a LCD).
But since it's so bright, I'm going to try a ND-filter to bring the brightness just a tad down and getter the blacks a little blacker. Where you also notice that the contrast is very good, is in dark scenes, as you wouldn't see anything but a big grey blur on most projectors, the Sanyo gives you a very nice image, where you can still see good detail. Ok the blackest part is not black, but the image is still very watchable with dark scenes.
4. Screendoor
It's there, do you see it from about 3 meters away ? I don't !! But I never found screendoor a problem. But I can say that most people won't find it a problem.
5. Using native panel resolution with HTPC
Here comes the big catch ladies and gents ! The panel resolution is 964x544 according to the manual. So whip out powerstrip, create a custom resolution, and go.. go.. go.. That's where you're wrong. I can tell you, if you have never created custom timings, it's a bitch. The damn thing wouldn't look good, it kept on scaling, no matter what resolution I would feed it. Finally I went back to all the menu's.. found a lot of timing options, and was able to match the projector settings to the powerstrip settings. Not an easy task, but do-able if you put some time into it.
6. Noise
The thing is very very quiet when you put it in "dark-mode". And in that mode it hardly suffers any light-loss. The fan is triggered by the temperature, but after playing it for quite some time, it never became loud or very noticeable, this is also something I'm very happy with, since I can't stand loud fan noise during quiet scenes in a movie, well done Sanyo !
7. Menu's and remote-control
The menu's seem ENDLESS, there are sooo many options, so many things to try out. The menu structure takes some getting used to, but can be accessed pretty easily once you get the hang of it.
For almost everything there is a setting. The remote is excellent, very simple, back lit, and it doesn't matter where you are in the room, or where you point it at, it always works !
Now for the final pre-conclusion, this is a very very nice and easy to use machine, black-levels could be a little better, but with a grey screen or a ND-filter it will shine ! PQ is very good, none of that greenish stuff that we saw on some reviews, basically saturation is excellent. Skin tones are very good. The picture has a real punch and 3d feeling to it. Overall I give it 8 out of 10 at this point.
kleine moeite, groot plezier.
