Overall it seems that reference driver v5.32 still gets the best performance out of the TNT2. Since it is still relatively young (July 2000), it should guarantee good game compatibility. V2.25 was quite a surprise to us, taking the lead in DRAKAN (DirectX 6) and MDK2. The newer drivers seem to be more of a step backwards for TNT2 users. Still, in Evolva (DirectX 7), v2.25 is noticeably slower than the rest.
So what do we recommend for the TNT/TNT2 crowd? Stick with v5.32. Alternatively, it seems v2.25 might give you a slight performance edge in some games, as seen in DRAKAN and MDK2. The good performance under OpenGL is well worth noting here. ThereŽs no difference in terms of CPU optimizations between the drivers.
