Battlefield wil niet starten

We zitten hier op een LAN en proberen de originele bf te installen en dat doet ie ook prima... vage is dat wanneer die gast hem probeert te starten dan kapt ie gewoon.. je ziet nog net het logo en dan nix...

Iemand??

For those that can't even load the game ...

I am one of those that have lost hours of sleep & suffered frustration beyond belief at not being able
to even get BF1942 to load beyond the title screen.

After a couple of os re-installs & re-formats, every driver update & backdate possible, the
uninstallation & reinstallation of every component in my system and of course I have tried every EA recommended config & video adjustment - I have finally got it working!

What I did was to simply right mouse click on the BF1942 icon, select the compatability tab & select
"Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 98 / ME". I am using WinXP of course - so it wont help those using Win98 or ME.

My system is:

Athlon 2000 XP
Asus A7V8X (KT400)- using on-board sound (latest VIA 4 in 1 drivers)
512 mb Kingmax PC2400 DDR
Winfast Ti4200 GF4 w/latest beta drivers
WinXP Pro.

Not sure why this is happening with XP - but I hope this may help some of you.

In elk geval de nieuwste en goed werkende drivers voor je videokaart installeren. Misschien een nieuwere versie van direct X. En misschien dat je de instellingen voor het spel wat lager moet zetten. Succ6

- All Seeing Eye server browser support added.
- Fixed refresh rate locked to 60 hz. To enable this do the following:
- Open the videodefault.con file found in
Settings\VideoDefault.con
- Edit the line: renderer.allowAllRefreshRates #
(where # can be replaced by 0 or 1)
- Changing this value to one will allow you to select the refresh
rates from the Options>Video section of the in-game frontend.

Dat is dus de oplossing, die VideoDefault.com editen.
