Windows XP rechten i.c.m. Norton Antivirus

Wij hebben hier WinXP Prof. machine's welke voorzien moeten gaan worden van Noton Antivirus. De update zal worden gedownload van een WinNT 4 PDC.

Om deze update lokaal te kunnen installeren heb je volgens ons ADMIN-rechten nodig. Vervelend is alleen dat als de user deze ADMIN-rechten heeft hij of zij ook progs kan installen wat we nou net niet willen.

Kortom, bestaat er een mogelijkheid dat wij een user onder WinXP Prof. ......-rechten geven zodat de update van Norton zonder problemen kan worden geïnstalleerd, zonder dat de user overige progs kan installen?

Windows NT Workstation (geldt ook voor XP) lets only an administrator equivalent start a service, so any users who use Windows NT must have administrator rights
on their own computers and must be logged on with administrator rights to
install the Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition client.

If you do not want to provide users with administrative rights to their own
computers, use the NT Client Install utility to install the Windows NT client
program to Windows NT workstations remotely. The NT Client Install
utility is available from the Symantec System Center console Tools menu.

You can remotely install the Norton AntiVirus 32-bit client onto any
Windows NT computer connected to the network, and you can install to
multiple clients at the same time without having to physically go to each
workstation.
The client application can be rolled out to all clients attached to either
Windows NT/2000 or NetWare servers running Norton AntiVirus Corporate
Edition.
Another advantage to remote installation is that users do not need to log
on to their computers as administrators prior to the installation if you have
administrator rights to the domain to which the client computers belong.
