phpMyAdmin BUGS?

Ik kwam op www.php.net het volgende tegen:

"If you want to use phpMyAdmin program available at www.phpwizard.net to manage mySQL database with a web interface, dont use PHP 4.2.3. It does not work. Use PHP 4.2.2 or older for phpMyAdmin to work properly."

Erg leuk zo'n opmerking, maar ik kan er niet veel mee. Weet iemand WAT er niet goed is aan de laatste versie?

This was a problem with mbstring that has been fixed in CVS. The workaround is not to use --enable-mbstr-enc-trans when configuring PHP. (You won't miss it, because the chances are that you don't even know what it does :-)

[1.24] Some characters are being truncated in my queries, or I get characters randomly added. I am running PHP 4.2.3.
