Dit stukje tekst heb ik van een of ander forum wat misschien een oplossing is voor de mensen maar ik heb windows xp en ik had er geen baat bij sorry....
OPLOSSING??? =
-Here's how I fixed my problem...
-First, I went to
www.guru3d.com, it's a site dedicated to 3D graphics.
-There, I downloaded 2 great utilities:
-Detonator Destroyer (cleans up Nvidia drivers)
-GTU (Geforce Tweak Utility)
-As well as a couple of the latest stable Win98 Nvidia Detonator drivers (29.42 & 29.80)
-I need to make a quick digresion, before doing any of this, I updated my motherboard BIOS, my video card BIOS, the VIA 4in1 drivers, and the latest Nvidia Detonator drivers and nothing helped.
Onward...
-It's probably a good idea to deactivate all other programs before you begin this. Turn off the virus software, unnecessary services, WinZip, etc.
-1. I extracted the Detonator Destoyer zip file. There are 2 files, a readme and the actual executable (detdest.exe).
-2. I went to the Control Panel and ran the Install/Uninstall Programs. There, I uninstalled the Nvidia drivers [WHEN ASKED, DON'T RESTART]
-3. I ran the Detonator Destroyer program (detdest.exe)
-4. I clicked "Uninstall" (from detdest.exe)
-5. I clicked "Restart" (from detdest.exe)
-6. When the computer restarted, it was looking for a display adpater driver. I let it install the "Standard VGA PCI adapter".
-7. When prompted, I restarted the computer.
-8. Once the computer was back up with the Standard 640x480 VGA screen, I installed the Nvidia drivers (I used 29.42 because GTU said it supported up to that release. It probably works past that release, but why chance it)
-9. When prompted, I restarted the computer.
-10. Now the computer is back to it's original self with the Nvidia drivers. By the way, that didn't solve the problem because when I played the HyperBowl game, it locked up again.
-11. I ran the GTU (gtu_3_2.exe). It takes a few seconds to pop up. It also saves your current setting into it's backup slot.
-12. At the bottom of the GTU window there are two buttons "Fast Settings" and "Quality Settings". I clicked on the "Quality Settings".
-13. Then, I clicked "Quit" and it saved the changes.
That's it. I've been playing with HyperBowl for over an hour and it hasn't locked up!
Good Luck!
Ja idd succes gewenst maar het werkte niet bij mij
