de audio Codec van Divx 3.11

Is er ook een installatie scrippie ergens te downloaden die ALLEEN maar de audio codec installeerd van de Divx 3.11 versie?

want sommige divxjes kan ik niet bekijken (met eluid) met versie 5

Ik wil dus ALLEEN maar de audio NIET de 3.11 codec zelf..

euhmm... DivX is een video codec, geen audio codec.

Q: Why can I see video, but I can't hear audio?
A: Chances are you don't have the audio codec installed that was used to encode that file. Try to play the file in Windows Media Player, it will try to download the appropriate audio codec to play that file. Also make sure the volume is turned up and that your sound card supports the audio format used.

De DivX3-installer installeert de radium (mp3) codec plus wma dacht ik.

jah precies, maar dat zijn dus gewoon mp3 + wma codecs. Sommige DivX'jes zijn ook encoded met mpeg4 audio codec. Ik installeer zelf meestal het nimo codec pack, dan heb je gelijk alle meest gebruikte codecs, en kan je de meeste DivX'jes zo afspelen.

Ik wil deze codec installeren ZONDER dat ie ook de video codec installeerd, maar blijkbaar vraag ik iets onmogelijks ?¿

Again: de gehackte codec is de VIDEO codec, niet de audio codec... Die 2 staan helemaal los van elkaar... download het Nimo Codec Pack eens... is een setje audio codec, waar vast ook die jij zoekt bij zit...

Dit is niet helemaal waar. DivX 3.11 is een gehackte MS codec, maar daarbij wordt ook DivX Audio geleverd, wat ook een gehackte MS codec is (WMA).

De audio codec kan je op DivX-Digest.com vinden, of direct downloaden

1. INTRODUCTION

If you are using a DivX codec 4 or later for playing DivX 3 contents and you do not have the DivX 3.11 Alpha
codec installed this is a tool that you might need. Some movies are created with WMA sound format which is
unrecognizable by the mp3 codecs of DivX versions higher than 3. In such cases your player starts
searching the net for the appropriate codec and never finds it because there is no such available for download.
The only available appropriate DivX audio codec comes with the DivX 3.11 alpha codec installation pack
(other repacks also) - DivXa32.acm. So now you've got an unique DivX 3.11 Alpha repack that will install only
the missing audio decompressor, will add an item in your audio compression manager
(for win 9x - control panel / multimedia / devices / audio compression codecs) and also an option for uninstallation from control panel
(add/remove programs). This is an advantage over installing the whole of the DivX 3.11 pack because it installs its older video codecs
which you do not need and it overwrites the registry and uninstall information which makes it impossible to uninstall DivX 3.11 Alpha
and the other later DivX codec version you might have separately. This may cause some undesired behaviour of your codecs and players.
All you need to do for hearing the WMA sound of your movie is to install this pack.

2. SOME EXTRACTS FROM FORUMS
concerning the same problem (which is no longer a problem!)

- You may not hear any sound when playing a movie with Windows Media Player if the DivX 3.11 codec is not installed.
The reason is that the WMA codec (DivX Audio - DivXa32.acm) comes with the DivX 3.11 codec.

- The divx you are trying to play must be encoded with the Divx audio codec WMA (DivXa32.acm),
this codec comes with the divx 3.11a Codec, but most of the good encoded movies will be in the mp3 format.
