Apache start niet meer!

Hoi,

Met de bedoeling Apache automatisch te laten starten bij het booten van mijn webserver (Red Hat 7.2) heb ik de volgende regel in /etc/rc.d/rc.local toegevoegd:

/usr/local/apache/binapachectl start

Toen ik de server opnieuw startte kon ik mijn webserver opeens niet meer bereiken! Ook niet op de server zelf via http://localhost/.

Dus weer handmatig /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start geprobeerd (als root) en toen kreeg ik de melding: 'httpd could not be started' ook restart werkt niet meer. Opnieuw compilen, make, make install helpt ook niet

Ik heb de regel uit /etc/rc.d/rc.local verwijderd, de server opnieuw gestart, maar ook dat helpt niet, zelfde probleem.

Kent iemand dit probleem of heeft iemand een oplossing???

Apache houd bij welke processen er allemaal voor hem draaiden. Hij probeerd deze processen een signal te sturen (SIGHUP), waarschijnlijk omdat je restart zei. HUP is het signal om dit te doen. Het lukt niet om dit te doen, dus dan besluit het script om apache te killen en dan te herstarten. Dat zijn de SIGKILL meldingen, dat lukt blijkbaar ook niet. Uiteindelijk krijgt het master process (/var/run/apache.pid) het signal om te herstarten. Dit schijnt gewoon te lukken. De laatste meldingen zijn van een apache module. Deze module lukt het niet om de hostname 'medens' op te zoeken, ik neem aan dat medens de naam van de server is?

Misschien staan er files gewoon fout, je moet even in het apachectl script kijken, er staat ergens een regel die hier op lijkt:

HTTPD=/usr/sbin/apache

De file die achter HTTPD= staat moet bestaan, controleer dit. Als deze niet bestaat locate dat de file en verander het script. Kijk ook even of je niet per ongeluk meerdere versies van het script heb.

/usr/local/apache/binapachectl start is fout, dat moet /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start zijn.
