[FTP] ServU en drive mappings probs...

Jaja ik heb de search gebruikt en kon niet echt iets vinden m.b.t. mijn probleem dus:

Ik heb ServU 3.0 draaien en heb in ServU mappings aangemaakt. ServU staat dus op server1 en de dirs op server2. Als ik nu connect zie je die gemapte dirs in je ftp client maar geen inhoud.

De lokale dirs met inhoud zie je wel dus alleen niet bij die mappings. Hoe kan ik dit oplossen?

Allowing Users to See Multiple Drives in Serv-U

We recommend setting up Virtual Directories. Setting up the Virtual Directory is straight forward:
In Serv-U select the "Settings" option in the tree view.
Select the Add button in the Virtual Path Mappings field.
Enter the Physical Path (i.e., Q:\)
Select the path where you want the link to show up (i.e., %HOME% , or c:\ftp\anywhere)
Name the folder (this could be anything you wish to call it).
Make sure that the user has the proper access to navigate to the Virtual Directory. For example, if you want the user "Fred" to see the Virtual Path to Q:\ then you will have to grant Fred access to Q:\. This is done under the "Dir Access" tab in the users settings.

After that is complete the user Fred should be able to login and see a link to the Q:\ drive in his home directory.

One common problem with setting this up on a NT, 2000, or XP system is that Serv-U is running as a system service and the LocalSystem account does not have access to the network drives. That being the case we have two options:
First we could disable Serv-U running as a service (under the Local Server window in the Serv-U Administrator)


Second you could edit the Serv-U service to login as a user who has access to the network drives, not just the LocalSystem account (this would be done in the Control Panel).
