DVD/CD-RW werkt niet op Sattelite Pro 6100

Hallo allemaal.

Ik heb net een Toshiba SD-R2002 DVD/CD-RW combo in mijn notebook geplaatst.
Als ik hem opstart krijg ik als eerste de melding "IDE #1 ERROR", daarna start WIN2000 gewoon op, maar ik kan de dvd nergens vinden.

Dit hele probleem doet zich niet voor als ik de notebook opstart en pas na de opstart van WIN2000 de/DVD CD-RW module in de Slim Selectbay steek.

Wie kan mij helpen?

Ermz.. klinkt beetje dubieus.. is het niet een bios setting die in windows niet voor problemen zorgt?

Notebook is 2 weken oud, BIOS update niet nodig, wat zou ik aan de settings kunnen veranderen? De bootvolgorde?

Nah, type oid.. strange.. onder windows doet ie het wel .. hmmm ..

'k ben ff clueless.. ms dat er mede nerds zijn die het wel weten.
Zal nog ff denken/kijken op google nieuwsgroepen of ik ietz vind.

Heb nog iets gevonden op een ander forum:

I have a Toshiba Satellite 2805 S402 notbook which came with the
SD-R2002
combo drive. This drive has failed, and I purchased a replacement part
from
Toshiba. They substituted the SD-R2102 drive, but I returned it, because
it
gave a "IDE #1 ERROR" when it was installed. I noticed that the original
drive has the letters "M/S" above the ATAPI connector pinout, and the
drive
that did not work had the letters CSEL. I take these to mean CSEL=cable
select, and M/S=master/slave. I have now purchased a true SD-R2002
drive,
but it also has the letters CSEL on it, and it also gives the IDE #1
channel
error. I have a second notebook which has a working drive in it which I
swapped into the broken laptop, and everything worked just fine, so it
is
definatelly this "R/W" vs "CSEL" which Toshiba Storage Devices says is
not
changeable, and Toshiba laptop technical support does not know anything
about. The drives marked CSEL also fail in the other laptop with the
exact
same type of error. Can the motherboard be told to use the CSEL rather
than
the M/S?

Dit is denk ik bij mij ook het probleem. Zijn hier oplossingen voor?

kijk eens naar de mogelijkheid om de drive hard een master setting te geven. Ik heb zelf de SD-R2212 ingebouwd in een mediabay behuizing voor mijn Dell latitude. Ik zal eens kijken of en waar je dat in kan stellen.

Dit is de pin-out van je interface. Ik denk dat je met pin 47/48 eens wat moet/kan proberen.

M'n badmintonnend broertje is weer bijster origineel met z'n nickname ... Anyways, z'n probleem: als hij de drive / IDE in z'n system tree disabled en enabled, dan werkt de drive wel gewoon... Hij wil nu dus weten of-ie daar misschien iets voor in de boot.ini kan zetten, om het te automatiseren...

Heb in Control panel\System\Device Manager het Secondary IDE channel een keer disabled en daarna enabled, dit schijnt te werken. Is deze manier in de boot.ini te verwerken?
