Je doel is simpel : De overlevenden in de stad te redden. Het spel beloofd een aardige diepgang, want je kunt je aansluiten bij 2 factions die hetzelfde doel voor ogen hebben, echter dit doel op een andere manier willen bereiken. Zo is er een miltitaire groepering, die je vooral wapens aanbied, maar zware wapens zijn ook niet alles. Daarom zul je ook het een en ander aan technisch vernuft van de science-faction moeten gebruiken, en daar een perfecte afweging (alnaar gelang je speelstijl) tussen moeten maken.

De ontwikkelaar van Y-Project, Westka Interactive, heeft haar website geupdate met een groot aantal nieuwe screenshots, waaronder een boel oude, maar ook een hele hoop nieuwe. Y-Project staat vooralsnog voor begin 2003.

Verhaal :

The game takes place in a unique science fiction fantasy setting 200 years in the future. 70 years before the game begins, humans on board a large spaceship land on a peaceful, foreign planet.

The humans begin settling the planet and the development proceeds quickly. However, before the landing, a mutant type of insect was accidentally created in a laboratory on the spaceship in a genetic experiment. At the time of the landing, this insect escaped and proceeded to develop a culture consisting of an enormous number of hostile, giant mutated insects. Due to the insects, the humans were after some time forced, for their own protection, to move into one huge, monolithic city under a glass dome.

At the beginning of the game (70 years after landing), the giant glass dome over a monolithic city has been destroyed. Massive insects have entered the city and most of the inhabitants have been killed, leaving chaos and destruction in place of peace and prosperity.

Your overall mission is to save the surviving humans from the insects. Two leading human factions have developed in the crippled city and both of them share your goal. But each faction, however, represents a very different political and social view: one is military-oriented, the other is science-oriented.

This is where you come in. The leaders of the two factions vie with one another to recruit you as the hero. They will offer you weapons, tools and other incentives, as you embody the perfect combination of fighter and scientist - exactly what is needed to stop the insects that are threatening to overrun the city.

You can switch from one faction to the other at different points during the game and acquire a different assortment of weapons and abilities depending on the faction you are serving.

Alternative solutions - either military or scientific - are possible to solve the puzzles and problems that you confront and the different quests and sub-quests that you embark upon.

Ja maar ik hou niet zo van die science fiction zooi. Dan kan het wel en heel mooi spel worden maar het gaat om het geheel.

Hij is niet Xbox only hoor. Hij komt er ook voor de PC
Misschien is het slim om dit topic ook voor de PC versie te gebruiken.

Ziet er mooi uit, alleen FPS op consoles zuigen.. Daar heb ik mn PC voor..

Dezelfde screenshots heb ik al gezien voor de PC versie.. ben benieuwd of het daadwerkelijk ook 100% dezelfde game word.
