Peeps...

heb hier een Dell Inspiron 4100 met een Ati Radeon drin zitten. Heb X gecompiled enzo, geconfigt, met als driver "radeon" opgegeven. Even kernel gerecompiled met de radeon als module.

Als ik dan startx doen krijg ik:

grmbl... modprobe radeon dan maar, geen foutmeldingen, gaat ok. in /lib/modules/2.4.19/kernel/drivers/char/drm staat de module ook netjes klaar.

Want dat is de module die wordt gezocht. In /lib/modules/2.4.19/kernel/drivers/char/drm staan modules voor de kernel. ;)

Als driver wil ie dus niet de radeon zien. Als nu XFree86 -xf86config /root/XF86Config.new doe dan krijg ik een zwart fel flikkerend scherm met een hele grote cursor....

En het enige "radeon-achtige" wat ik geselecteerd heb is Driver "radeon".

Ik post ff mijn XF86Config, hij's simpel maar werkt pefect, probeer hem eens letterlijk over te nemen (pas wel op de input config - kheb een extra USB muis erin staan):
