Ik ben volop bezig aan de site http://www.dolletjes.tk en nou heb ik pas de layout veranderd, maar nou ziet hij er onder Internet explorer uit zoals de bedoeling is:

Als je hem in Opera opent dan ziet hij er echter zo uit:

Het lijkt wel of Opera schijt heeft aan de vooraf ingestelde breedte en hoogte voor tabellen. Hoe los ik dit op?

edit: Ik was nog vergeten te vermelden dat de poll het ook niet doen, omdat opera geen WIDTH argument slikt bij <IMG>. Ook hier weet ik geen oplossing voor

omdat mijn php code wordt samengesteld uit meerdere files. Afhankelijk van de pagina wordt de bovenste tabel wel of niet ge-include.
De tabellen voor menu en poll staan ook weer in afzonderlijke files.
Voor het menu en de poll hanteer ik ook andere cellpadding dus ik dacht dat het zo makkelijker was. (php doet het eigenlijk toch allemaal)

maar er zitten wel een boel bruikbare dingen in je code. Het ziet er in ieder geval goed uit onder Opera. Ik zal er eens mee gaan knoeien, bedankt!

Hoe werkt het nu om [img]"blaat"[/img] werkend te krijgen onder Opera?

je nest erg veel tabellen, ik vermoed dat het daar mis mee kan gaan, probeer het nesten van tabellen te vorkomen (meen dat het vroeger idd zo was dat Opera de mist inging zodra je meer dan drie tabellen diep nestte)
eventueel kan het nut hebben op absoluut gepositioneerde DIVs over te stappen waar mogelijk

verder staat er een aantal maal: WIDTH='' in je code, dat is nutteloos en werkt mogelijk verwarrend, één TD in een row een width='100%' geven is ook overbodig.
en er staan lege TD's in je tabel, zet er dan een 1px leeg gifje in.

de IMG zou wel style="width: 100px" moeten ondersteunen

in je style-sheet:

Als je hem in Opera opent dan ziet hij er echter zo uit:

Het lijkt wel of Opera schijt heeft aan de vooraf ingestelde breedte en hoogte voor tabellen. Hoe los ik dit op?

edit: Ik was nog vergeten te vermelden dat de poll het ook niet doen, omdat opera geen WIDTH argument slikt bij <IMG>. Ook hier weet ik geen oplossing voor

Gewoon je site door de HTML validator heen halen. MSIE probeert (helaas) er het beste van te maken, ook als de HTML voor geen meter klopt.

Sites die door de validator heenkomen zien er over het algemeen genomen op alle browsers goed uit.
