Lite BIOS op MSI KT3 Ultra Aru upgraden

Weet iemand of er al een bios voor dit bord te krijgen is zodat ik mijn onboard lite controller naar een full controller kan upgaden. Ik wil gewoon 4 schijven in raid 0 kunnen zetten namelijk en dat kan nu volgens mij niet.

Als er RAID 5 functionaliteit in zou zitten zou het helemaal mooi zijn want dan doe ik dat uiteraard.

Ik denk neit dat het de bedoeling van msi is om op hun website een bios te zetten zodat de lite raid controller naar een volwaardige kan worden omgezet. Dat was bij de vorige versies ook niet zo maar waren er wat handige mensen die dit wel gelukt was.

Dit is toch niet een soort overklokken? want voorheen zette MSI er zelf een overklokbios op.

Er is een duitser die een betabios schijnt te hebben (beetje vaag dus). Heb er iets over gelezen in het forum op www.msi.com.tw . Doe daar ff een search.

Voorzover ik begrijp hebben ze nog geen BIOS van een full Raid controller kunnen uitlezen, en hebben ze alleen de Lite bios getweakt om 2 arrays te kunnen aansturen.
(Het gaat hier over de ATA133 versie van de Promise chip).

- Modification of controller the MBFastTrack133 in order to manage 2 Array.

When on he carries out the integrated transformation of a controller from ARGUMENT to FULL uses itself, like already said over, releasable correspondent BIOS full from the situated one of promised with some modifice (Pci vendor ID - Controller detection). In versions ATA/66 and ATA/100 the bios can be unloaded modified already made from some situated ones. The problem is born (or better it was born) with the controller of new generation ATA/133 that is found ultra on the last motherboard (MSI kt3 - aru - asus a7v333). Poichè for the correspondent controller on card Pci (Fasttrack TX2000) has not been rilasciato the dump of the BIOS and seems is impossible (says it here and here I deny it) to make a dump of the BIOS from the same card. Therefore it turned out impossible from part of the possessory ones of those motherboard to make integrated use of the controller full regimen. However it is possible to make a dump of bios the ARGUMENT and with some modifications through (reverse-engineering) giving the possibility to these controller to manage two Array. Using the editor of the BIOS of the motherboard (amibcp, cbrom) it is in fact possible to make a dump of bios the argument for MBFAsttrack133 to modify it and reinserire the BIOS modified in the mobo. However poichè the reverse-engeenering complete version is one technical much difficult me has not been possible to modify entire this version of bios the ARGUMENT in one. In fact it is not possible to create the Array with this version and nevertheless I advice against the FASTBUILD use lively poichè we find ourselves of forehead to bios seeds complete. In fact in order to create two Array it must, using the bios originates them, to connect single the Array one to the time and to create them. Once created both the Array is possible at the same time to use them with the version seeds FULL. This version has not been head for Array of 4 discs and with Array SPAN therefore I do not advice against lively to the possessory ones of such configurations I use it of this bios. Personally I have made the modifications necessary the BIOS in order to use it in contemporary presence of two disc Array (Raid 0 or 1) being had such configuration. To more soon when it probably promised rilascerà a new one bios for the card FasTrack TX2000 I will occupy to create a bios full for controller the MBFasttrack133.

In the page Raid DownLoads now you will find in order the version modified of bios the MBFASTTRACK133 and a modified version (that am currently using I) of bios version 5,3 for MSI kt3 Ultra ARU. In more you will find the utility amibcp for the modification of bios Ami and cbrom for the modification of bios the Award. For time issues this article is written for the attache's to the jobs therefore does not insert in order now the instructions in order to modify the bios of the mobo.

het komt er dus ok neer dat het alleen om 2 riad configaties te maken tot nu toe als ze een full hebben zetten ze hem er dus op
