Op zoek naar werk

Ik heb een servlet queries kan ontvangen vanuit Flash. Lokaal werkt het allemaal prima, maar als ik de Flash online zet, dan wordt er niet meer gecommuniceerd.

Situatie is: ik heb een linux-server met daarop Sun's webdeveloper pack (Tomcat en the works). De servlet draait daar op port 8080. Als ik vanuit de server of een ander systeem op het LAN de Flash test en laat praten met de servlet, gaat alles prima. Maar als ik de swf ergens online zet en laat praten met de servlet (op een ander systeem) dan werkt het niet.

Is het zo dat zowel de servlet als de Flash (plus een index.html die de Flash laadt) op het zelfde systeem moeten staan? Ik heb geen flauw idee hoe dit komt. Wie wel?

Ik denk dat het dus iets te maken heeft met het feit dat de servlet en Flash niet op hetzelfde systeem staan.

mijn ervaring is, dat het het gemakkelijkst is om zowel de flash als de (in jou geval) servlet op 1 server te zetten.
dan werkt het gegarandeerd

(zoals ook eerder vermeld) Flash gebruikt hetzelfde beveiligings principe mbt connecties als applets. Een flash filmpje mag dus alleen verbinden met de server waarvandaan ook de swf gedownload is. Voor de html maakt heteigenlijk niet zo veel uit. Daarin kun je immers gewoon absolute url's gebruiken.
