RC5 forum voor DPC en TA

Ik heb op beide forums deze thread gestart. Mischien dat er wel genoeg interesse is aan beide kanten van de oceaan om iets unieks op te starten tussen de 2 grootste rivalen van RC5 (positief bedoeld natuurlijk.)

I've been reading some small reactions on both this forum and the GoT (DPC) and this is a very good idea for all parties I think. I'm talking about a neutral forum for both the DPC and TA. This has only advantages for both teams I think. I was thinking about how this could be arranged if there is enough interest:

==== Moderators ===
- If a forum would be built for AT and the DPC first there must be an even number of moderators of both parties.

- Second only the moderators may assign members for the forum. Those members are the reponsibility of the moderator. This could mean that an DPC member can only be kicked or banned for some time by a DPC moderator.

- Offcourse this kind of things can only be done if there are multiple complaints about that certain person. The moderators can be best assigned within the own team. The team know the best people for the job offcourse.


=== Rules ===
- Rules must be setup between the moderators. To communicate smoothly I think the best way is to meet on IRC or another Chat-programme.

- The first rule everybody must apply to must be English: Everybody must write English on this new forum.


=== Only TA and DPC? ===
- I'm thinking now, why should we build just a forum for the DPC and TA? Why shouldn't we invite the 2 russian teams and other teams who are high in the stats so we can all talk to eachother. This is very nice for all parties because I don't speak russian and japanese and other people can't read dutch or whatever.

- I don't think we can ask d.net to arrange this. They already have more then enough work to do with maintaining the stats.

- The best thing of this new forum managed by both the DPC and TA is that those 2 teams have very much experience with flamewars, trolls, trout and offcourse chocolate pudding

you shouldn't ask me. The team itself should assign their part of the administrators for forum.
I don't think this is the time to think about that kind of things. At this moment I think it is better to think about all the pro's and cons of such a new forum.

Mijn bericht op AT:

OK, I rarely visit this forum, let alone write a message here (I had to dig hard to find my password), but anyway: I don't really see the need for this...
I think that 'normally' DPC-members are quite welcome at the AT-forum, as long as they behave themselves.
I think we have a mutual goal, and thats winning the RC5 contest.
Sofar the AT members are the only competition left, and that's what makes it fun, but that's no reason to underestimate each other, nor dislike each other
I am willing to help anyone (AT or DPC) in achieving our mutual goal...
Ofcourse I'm Dutch so I'm a (proud) member of DPC, but after all we're all human, and I think the ultimate goal of this project is to bring people together
Therefore I would like to encourage people to visit each other's site (like engineer is doing) and to learn from each other; this only will make the competition more fair, and more fun!
Ofcourse English is much more easier for Dutch people than Dutch will be for Americans, but that's completely your own fault (you should have studied your history - most pioneers in the America were originally Dutch).
Anyway, be free and express yourselves, as long as you can value your opponent at it's true strength I don't think there will be any problem...

Hi,

ik wou eerst niet reageren, maar doe het toch maar, ik vind het dikke onzin. Er zijn 2 forums waar we gebruik van kunnen maken, aangezien AT hier in het Engels kan en mag posten, en wij daar in het engels posten is er toch nergens een probleem.
