IBM Thinkpad 770e groot probleem

Ik heb een IBM, thinkpad probleem. Als ik de laptop aanzet kom er na de memory check gelijk al een "error 161 en 163" beeld.

Daarna boot ie even verder, en moet je het password invoeren, dan druk ik op enter en dan krijg ik een error scherm in beeld met weer error 161 163. Op dit moment kan ik helemaal nix meer.

Ik heb natuurlijk op IBM help gekeken en op deja bijvoorbeeld, maar ik zie geen concrete oplossing.

De hele laptop freezed gewoon ik kan nix meer. Weet iemand hoe ik dit probleem kan oplossen, ik kom ook de bios niet in (is volgens mij normaal met "F1").

SYMPTOM:
System gives POST 163, 173 errors.

CONFIGURATION:
Any Thinkpad with the wrong version of PS2.exe loaded on the system.

SOLUTION:
Use the correct version of PS2.EXE for that Thinkpad.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
If you experience 163, 173 errors, and you have been using the PS2.EXE utility check to be sure that the proper version of PS2.EXE is being used for that model Thinkpad. The proper version of the utility can be obtained from the web or the diskette factory. PS2.exe is included on the Thinkpad Utility Disk for DOS Personalization .

This may also happen with a ThinkPad 770E/ED when using an older version of the ThinkPad Configuration program for Windows 95 or Windows 98. For more information, click here .

SYMPTOM:
At boot, the system indicates a 173 and 163 (set time and date) error. This can be intermittent, and the time and date screen show the correct information.

CONFIGURATION:
For isolation, check the date of the ThinkPad Configuration program, TPW95.EXE (normally in the \thinkpad subdirectory) on any ThinkPad 770E/ED running Windows 95/98. TPW95.EXE dated 10/97 or earlier does not support the 770E and ED and will generate the errors on the next reboot after running the program, even if no changes were made to the configuration.

SOLUTION:
Update the ThinkPad Configuration Program. TPW95.EXE dated 2/98 or newer is required. Since the TPW95.EXE file is part of the ThinkPad Configuration program, you will need to download the ThinkPad Utility disks (3 of them) and install it. To download the latest version of the ThinkPad Utility diskettes, click here .

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The symptom may be reported as intermittent because the relationship to running the ThinkPad Configuration Program may not be noticed.

Hij krijgt error 161/163 en niet 163/173.. Ook zijn de genoemde error codes en bijbehorende verklaringen helemaal niet van toepassing op zijn TP

Dus.. batterytje vervangen!

Ik heb de battarij vervangen, echter krijg ik nog steeds die 161/163 error melding... moet ik de tijd handmatig instellen? zoja hoe?

Via de BIOS
Meestal te bereiken door tijdens het opstarten op F1 te drukken, zoals op het scherm aangegeven.

Is er ook een standaard wachtwoord voor de BIOS? Ik heb m nooit ingesteld... maar hij vraagt nu wel om een password! Anders kom ik de BIOS niet in, staat ook op de site van IBM

Heb een zelfde problee gehad, en uiteindelijk de laptop maar verkocht voor onderdelen. Zie hier :

Ik denk ergens dat Maverick2001 na 3 jaar ook al iets anders geprobeerd heeft
