shuttle sv24/25,ss40,ss50 & asus terminator vragen

Ik ben in de markt voor een superklein pc'tje. En de topic zegt opzich al genoeg.

Ik heb echter nog wat vraagjes. Heeft de Shuttle SV24/SV25 ruimte voor een PCI kaart of moet dit persee een PCI kaart van het riser type zijn? Bij Asus Terminator is dat zeker het geval.
Ik vraag het omdat graag 5.1 geluid wil en er dus mijn SB Live 5.1 erin wil kunnen prikken.

In de PW staan trouwens al genoeg vermeldingen van de SS50, maar nog niks over de SS40 (AMD variant van de SS50 welke alleen P4 ondersteunt) ... is deze al te koop en zo ja, waar?! Ik heb niks aan meldingen die hier staan, voeg zoveel mogelijk toe in de PriceWatch!

Kan op de SS40 en SS50 een Soundblaster DTT2200 setje worden aangesloten? De aansluiting lijken verdacht veel op de aansluitingen die ook op de SB Live 5.1 zitten.

Ik weet dat in alle gevallen een losse PCI videokaart geprefereerd wordt voor games. Maar welke onboard oplossing is nu het snelst? Ik neem hierbij de Shuttle oplossingen als voorbeeld.
Een SV24 met Savage4 videokaart of een SS50 met SIS315 videokaart? Ik weet van deze laatste dat die baggertraag is. Savage4 zit op performance niveau van GeforceMX dus als ik occasionally een spelletje speel is dan een SV24 'sneller'? Of compenseert de P4 power van de SS50 de SIS315 op zo'n niveau dat het weer gelijk zit?

Wat was trouwens ookalweer de performance verhouding van Duron vs. Celeron. Ik heb nu een Duron DivX/DVD viewstation. Als ik overstap naar een SV24 met Celeron, wat zou dan 'performance verlies' zijn met gelijke snelheid processoren?

Wat iedereen natuurlijk meteen opvalt zijn de look-a-like specs met Shuttle.
Maar itt Shuttle SV24 ondersteunt de Tecnacom variant WEL ATA133 standaard.

De P4 variant heeft een 'portable' kast lijkt het wel, met standaard USB 2.0 poorten en weer die ATA133. Iets wat de Shuttle SS50 dus allemaal niet heeft!

[Update]Andere chipset is de oorzaak ... geen SIS maar VIA P4m266. Maar met welke nVidia kaart is de S3 Savage 4 vergelijkbaar?

Nu alleen nog prijzen van dealers en dan ben ik helemaal gelukkig.

P.S. Sorry voor dat inmezelf geklets ... ik browse ook verder en rapporteer wellicht interessante feitjes?

Vergelijk em maar met een normale TNT 2 enig verschil in fps zal er zijn, maar geen merkbaar verschil, ik heb de SV24 en een TNT2 en een TNT2 Ultra, bij de ultra merk ik dat hij op resoluties hoger dan 800 x 600 lekkerder draait.

SV24/SV25 zijn volop leverbaar ... SS50 wordt ook veel verkocht, maar weet iemand wanneer de SS40 geschikbaar komt?
Formoza computers uit de PW weet nog nix zinnigs te melden.
Iemand enig idee hoe ik rechstreeks in contract treed met Shuttle? Op de website kon ik geen e-mail adres vinden.

Ik kan me gewoon niet voorstellen dat tweakers alleen belang hebben bij Eden ITX boardjes (wat in feite gewoon een embedded industrial PC'tje is) ... waar er al jaren soortgelijke versies van te koop waren.

Anyway op een review over de computex van dit jaar zag ik een Shuttle SS51! Deze heeft wel een AGP slot in tegenstelling tot de SS50. De grote vraag ... wanneer komt die uit?

Zijn er nu geen mensen die mee kunnen praten ofzo?
Ik was eigenlijk niet van plan dit een 'in-mezelf-lul- topic te laten worden.

het voordeel van de ss-serie van shuttle mag duidelijk zijn, ze zijn krachtig genoeg om dvd / divx af te spelen... iets van de VIA eden net niet is.... Zolang VIA geen 1.2 g. c4 uitbrengt hou ik het bij de shuttles

ss40g, duron 750, maxtor diamondmax 60gb (binnenkort 100 gb seagate) 256mb pc2100, aopen 16x dvd. Werkt echt prima

btw, er is een beta bios voor de ss40g, zodat je de onboard video kan uitschakelen... zeer belangerijk!
