audiochip wil niet onder Corel linux

Ik heb hier een toshiba Satellite 300CDT laptop met een Yamaha OPL SA3 audio chip, ik krijg die alleen niet werkend onder Corel Linux 6.4 (dit is de enigste vlotte linux op mijn flaptop). Ik heb ook al Suse 7.3 geinstalleerd om te testen, maar die alsa module pakt de kaart ook niet iemand een ideetje, ik zal eerlijk toegeven dat ik niet veel van Linux weet (lees newbie), ik speel er net een weekje mee op een oude Compaq deskpro dus die Console vat ik helemaal niet

Sound

The Notebook is equipped with a Yamaha OPL3-SAx sound chip. You can configure it as a MicroSoft Sound System compatible sound-card. This however will result in an interrupt conflict causing the sound-device to loop the DMA buffer.

To install the soundcard correctly download the Open Sound System drivers here. Install the program by typing oss-install. Select add new card/device and select the General Crystal CS4232 based soundcard or motherboard (non PnP) from the list (Don't ask me why). Then chose Manual configuration and select the following:
Device: MPU401 Midi interface (enabled)
I/O port = 330
IRQ = 9
Device: Audio device (WSS compatible) (enabled)
I/O port = 534
IRQ = 5
DMA (A) = 1
DMA ( = 0
Device: Yamaha OPL2/OPL3 FM synt. chip (enabled)



you are now able to turn your soundcard on by typing soundon. (Put it in your .xsession for instance if you want to start it each time you boot). You can put your soundcard off by typing soundoff.

Is wel voor slackware maar wellicht heb je er wat aan.
