Why do I get video distortion with my GeForce Ti 200/500 card on my S2460?
The circled area represents a ground point on the video card that has not
been closed. GeForce 3 Ti 200/500 video cards have an electrical signal
that is sent throughout the entire board that causes this distortion when
the ground points mentioned above are not closed. To solve this problem, you
need to close the space between the two solder points, or remove the back
plane of the card altogether. In our lab tests here at Tyan, performing this
modification has completely cleared up all distortion issues. We have
thoroughly tested GeForce 3 and various other brands for this same problem
and they are not present.
ATTENTION: We remind you that soldering these two points together will most
likely void the warranty provided by the manufacturer of your video card.
