[quote]The easiest way to access a computer that is protected by a firewall is to map one (or two, if you are using SSL) of the firewall's ports to the RA port (or ports). You will then need to tell RA about what port you have mapped on the firewall so that the Java applets can make their connections.
For example:
FIREWALL: IP address: 192.168.0.1
RA machine: IP address: 192.168.0.10, Port: 2000, SSL Port: 2001
In this case, you should pick two ports on the firewall (say, 5200 and 5201) and map them to 192.168.0.10:2000 and 192.168.0.2001
Please note that you will need to make the normal port available as well, even if you are only using SSL connections. Normal connections can be disabled from within the configuration screens, but the Java applets always connect to the normal port since the encryption they use is not SSL compliant.
Having done the above, you will be able to access the RA computer with the URL http://192.168.0.1:5200 or https://192.168.0.1:5201. However, the Java applets will need to know about the port change, so go to Configuration / Connections, say 'Yes' to the option that says 'This computer is behind a firewall', click 'Update Configuration', enter the normal port of the firewall (5200) in the field below, and click 'Update Configuration' again.
That's it, you are now able to fully access the computer behind the firewall.
