[RH8.2] LILO onvindbaar

Ik heb zojuist Redhat 8.2 7.2 geïnstalleerd en LILO als bootmanager (ik wil mijn Windows partitie niet kwijt). Echter, LILO dacht dat mijn windows partitie op /dev/hdd1/ stond, terwijl die op /dev/hdc1/ staat (Linux op /dev/hdc3/). Geen probleem, ik ga naar /etc/lilo.conf en ik pas het aan. Maar als ik het wil executen:

[root@lanpartyanimal etc]# lilo
bash: lilo: command not found

Grrrrr
Weet iemand waar LILO te vinden is? Mijn path is nogal brak nl

RedHat 8.2 bestaat niet. Waarschijnlijk bedoel je Mandrake 8.2 of RedHat 7.2

Echter, LILO dacht dat mijn windows partitie op /dev/hdd1/ stond, terwijl die op /dev/hdc1/ staat (Linux op /dev/hdc3/). Geen probleem, ik ga naar /etc/lilo.conf en ik pas het aan. Maar als ik het wil executen:

Alvast bedankt.

Waarschijnlijk staat lilo in /sbin/lilo. Je kan het voor de zekerheid nakijken met whereis lilo. Overigens moet je wel als root ingelogd zijn om lilo uit te voeren.

Sinds wanneer bestaat er RH8.2 ?
Moet dat niet RH7.2 zijn of Mandrake 8.2 ?

Doe eens als root:

en tijdje wachten en dan

locate lilo | less

Vind je het nergens haal de rpm van je cd

Normaal hoort hij te staan onder /sbin/
