Hey Tweakers,

nu ik mijn Gentoo systeem helemaal heb geconfigged, rest me niets anders dan een paar spelletjes spelen :P

Ik heb dus ff tuxracer gehaald (eitje met Gentoo :P), maar als ik tuxracer start, krijg ik de volgende foutmelding:

Pieter (ook hier wel bekend >:)) zei dat ik de OpenGL drivers (NVidia drivers zijn al (en goed ;)) geinstalleerd)... Dus ik ff 'emerge --search glide' gedaan, maar dan zie ik alleen de OpenGL drivers voor de Voodoo kaarten staan.. Moet ik die pakken of zit ik er echt helemaal naast? :)

Hmm, die heb ik dus al geinstalleerd :) (nieuws-post is van 7 februari, en ik heb gisternacht mijn systeem opnieuw geinstalleerd, dus die hangen er al in :) )

Hmm, niemand anders? Wat moet ik anders de hele dag gaan doen op mijn verse linux install? :P

Hmm, die GLX had ik dus niet geladen, maar nu dus wel :) T lijkt wel dat Konqueror / Mozilla veel beter loopt ! :) (Bedankt voor de tip :))

Tuxracer draait, alleen t gaat maar met 2/3 fps / sec :( Iemand een oplossing (heb de nvidia-drivers al geinstalleerd)

Michiel, :D ik lach me dood, glide is voor 3dfx, je moet gewoon intypen "emerge opengl" :D

Edit: toch wel :) Maar nu moet ie XFree 4.2.0 helemaal opnieuw gaan compilen (klere-klus: duurt ca 1,5 uur op een tbird 1,4 ghz :( )

Hmm, ik heb nu dus de OpenGL "patch" op XFree4.2.0 toegepast (nu eindelijk klaar met compilen :( ), maar ik zie absoluut geen verbetering :(

Hmm, niemand die dit probleem ook heeft gehad? :'(

Het lijkt erop dat tuxracer de nVIDIA OpenGL libraries niet kan vinden. Is NVIDIA-GLX wel goed geinstalleerd? Probeer anders eens: ldd 'path naar tuxracer'/tuxracer-demo-bin , dan kun je zien welke libraries hij gebruikt.

De GLX drivers zijn goed geinstalleerd, dat weet ik zeker (gewoon via emerge van Gentoo en toen in XF86Config de vars aangepast (waaronder "glx" ;))

nieuwere drivers doen er voor Gentoo niet toe, dat je de GLX hebt geladen is leuk, maar laad ie ook echt, en heb je ook je module path aangepast, je kernel module geladen?
Misschien zinnig om je X logs eens na te kijken op rare meldingen.

Ik zie geen meldingen in m'n logs dat ie glx niet kan laden... Dus er moet iets anders zijn :(

Misschien eens op #gentoo op irc.linux.com (openprojects) kijken, genoeg mensen die er kijk op hebben. Gentoo is iig de best supported linux op irc, dus moet lukken..

Wat is de uitvoer van 'lsmod'? Daar zou een driver NVdriver tussen moeten staan. Als die er niet staat dan werkt je driver dus toch niet. Als hij er wel staat dan gaat plan B in werking :P: kijken of er nog oude libs rondslingeren.
