Fast Write

Ik wil m'n fast Write graag aan hebben. Nou staat dit in de bios op enable maar nou zie ik in mijn sisoft Sandra 001 dat hij niet aan staat. Ik weet dat je daar nog een Via driver voor moet installeren maar als ik dat doe gaat het ook niet aan. Ik heb altijd onder ME gewerkt en daar ging het prima. Dan vroeg de driver ook of je in turbo mode wilde installeren. Als ik nu de via driver installeer krijg ik alleen de opties Windows INF driver en de IDE driver. Hij vraagt niets meer over de AGP driver.

Weet iemand hoe je Fast Write dus aan kan zetten onder XP ?

Note that in order to enable fast writes both your motherboard and your graphics card must support it. All GeForce cards support Fast Writes, but not all motherboard chipsets do. In particular the various versions of the Intel i815 chipset do not support Fast Writes.

There are a number of methods:

Some BIOSes support enabling and disabling AGP Fast Writes in the BIOS setup. If you have a Tyan Trinity 400 motherboard, you must use BIOS version 1.0 as in later versions Tyan have removed the Fast Writes option in the BIOS.

If you have a Creative card you can use AGP Wizard. Read more about this in the 'What is and where can I get AGP Wizard?' question.

You can use the fwoff.reg registry file to disable AGP Fast Writes in Windows 9x/ME - available here:

Had het zelfde probleem met fastwrite in Win 98 SE.
Heb veel zitte knoeien maar uiteindelijk bleek het gewoon aan de Via drivers te liggen,want toen ik onlangs de nieuwe Via agp drivers 4.10b installeerde stond het ineens aan.
Als dit echter niet lukt probeer het dan eens met Geforce tweak utility of NV max.

Ik kan je zeggen dat je er niet veel mee opschiet om Fast-Writes aan te zetten. Je systeem wordt (waarschijnlijk) alleen maar onstabieler.De snelheidswinst die je behaald is minimaal.

Dus laat lekker uit staan zou ik zeggen.

gewoon Nvmax downloaden, daar kun je het aan of uit vinken
volgens mij helpt het niet veel, maar je kunt het allicht proberen

Het helpt wel iets, maar ik hoorde dat je je videokaart minder ver kon overklokken als Fast Writes aanstond, dus dan schiet je er nog weinig mee op
