[FreeBSD] Mysql 4 hostname error bij starten

Zodra ik mysql wil starten komt hij met een fout.
Sorry, the host "powercow" could not be looked up.
Please configure the "hostname" command to return a correct hostname. If you want to solve this at a later stage, restart the script with the --force option.

Waar kan ik dit bv veranderen, of is dit niet nodig?

oke dat doet hij

maar als ik mysql opstart geeft hij de foutmelding:
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock'

dit bestand bestaat niet in /tmp/

ondertussen draait mysql al helemaal goed.
