upgrade samba 2..2.0 naar 2.2.3a - Linux en overige clients

ik heb redhat7.2 geinstalleerd met samba 2.2.0 nu wil ik een upgrade naar 2.2.3a nu heb ik op de samba site gekeken en daar stond de update tot zo ver geen problemen

het bestand gedownload en uitgepakt en toen.
hoe kan je nou upgrade het is een tgz bestand.

cd /samba

./configure

make install

Maar voor red hat moet je rpm bestanden hebben. Ik denk dat je beter eens kunt zoeken bij red hat.

hoe kan ik hem dan upgrade zodat de oude versie wordt overschreven want ik heb de rpm van redhat gedownload daarvoor nog bedankt voor de tip.maar nu wil ik hem wel goed installeren iemand nog zo'n geweldig tip

in mc kunje gewoon op enter raggen op een rpm bestandje en dan update kiezen

het upgrade is gelukt van de samba server 2.2.3a

. alleen als ik nu probeer aan te melden met mijn laptop waar windows 2000 opstaat krijg ik de melding

"deze computer kan geen lid worden van het domein omdat de volgende fout is opgetreden" de gebruikte account is een computeraccount.gebruikt uw globale of lokale gebruikersaccount voor toegang tot deze server".

ik heb mijn root account en adminaccount geprobeerd maar helaas de melding blijft. Ik hoop dat ik genoeg info gegeven heb...

Domein verwijderen uit Samba
Client van het domein afhalen

Samba restarten
Client rebooten (en *lokaal* aanloggen, geen NetBIOS netwerkbronnen gebruiken!!!)
Domein aanmaken in Samba
Samba restarten
Client opnieuw in domein hangen

Als dit niet werkt, klopt je Samba configuratie niet (meer).

ik heb dus ook red hat 7.2 .. (CC 0.9.1)

deze is geinstalleerd: samba-2.2.1a-4.i386.rpm met de common

ik wil hem ook update.. (win2k probleem

)
ik heb dus de nieuwste :
samba-2.2.3a-3.i386.rpm
samba-common-2.2.3a-3.i386.rpm

[root@Atlantis shared]# rpm -U samba-2.2.3a-3.i386.rpm

common lijkt me de goeie en moet dus eerste geinstalleerd/geupgrade worden

install geeft dit:
