Heb zelf een Trust compactscan 19200 en werk hier prima.
Het is me heel goed gelukt namelijk, mochten er nog meer mensen zijn die van deze ervaring willen gebruikmaken,
gaat naar de site van Trust.
Zoek naar de 11379, nummer van deze scanner, ga naar drivers/handleidingen/en klik op de compac02.exe die in de windows 2000 staat, volgende pagina kun je het opslaan,en dan de rest;;;;;;;;;;;;;
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE 12386 TRUST COMPACT SCAN USB 19200 ON WINDOWS XP:
NOTE:
These instructions must be used in combination with the driver/application CD-ROM version 1.0 included with the 12386 Trust Compact Scan 19200. These instructions are a temporary fix , fully Windows XP compatible drivers will be included on the next CD-ROM version.
NOTE:
Also keep the User's Manual which is included on the CD-ROM version 1.0 at hand for installation details.
NOTE:
Before you continue with the instructions below, please make sure all previous installed drivers and software of the scanner are removed and the scanner is disconnected.
A. INSTALLING TWAIN DRIVER AND APPLICATIONS:
1. Start Windows XP.
2. Go to "Start" and select "Run...".
3. Type "regedit" and click "OK" to start the Registry Editor.
4. In the Registry Editor go to the following location:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion"
5. In the directory "CurrentVersion" right-click the key "ProductName" and select the option "Modify".
6. Modify the Value data from "Microsoft Windows XP" in "Microsoft Windows 2000"
7. Close the Registry Editor.
8. Insert the CD-ROM version 1.0 with the drivers and applications in your CD-ROM drive.
9. Run the "Setup.exe" in the root of the CD-ROM to start the Trust Software Installer.
10. Click on the button "COMPACT SCAN USB 19200" to install the TWAIN driver and Panel driver of the scanner.
11. Follow the on-screen instructions. (See the User's Manual included on the driver CD-ROM for installation details).
12. After installation and restarting the system a Welcome screen appears. Click "Yes" if you want to follow the tour or "No" to skip the tour.
13. Follow the above steps 1. to 6. and undo the changes in the registry by changing "Microsoft Windows 2000" to "Microsoft Windows XP".
14. Close the Registry Editor.
15. Install the other included software "ABBYY FineReader Sprint" and "Ulead Photo Express" normally as mentioned in the User's Manual.
B. INSTALLING HARDWARE:
16. Connect the scanner to a free USB port of your computer.
17. Windows XP detects the new hardware, but does not install the USB driver correct automatically.
18. Go to "Start" and select "Control Panel".
19. Select the category "Performance and Maintenance" and then select the icon "System"
20. Go to the tab "Hardware" and click the button "Device Manager".
21. In the Device Manager got to "Imaging Devices" and right-click on the incorrect installed "USB Device". Select the option "Update driver...".
22. Select the option "Install from a list or specific location (advanced)" and click "Next".
23. Select the option "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install" and click "Next".
24. Click the button "Have Disk..."
25. ga naar de direktory waar je het gedownde bestand uitgepakt hebt
27. Select the "Trust Compact Scan USB 19200" from the list and click "Next".
28. A message appears mentioning that the driver has not passed the Windows Logo Testing. Click the button "Continue Anyway"
29. A message appears mentioning that the 'Windows XP CD-ROM' must be inserted. Ignore the message and click "OK".
30. A message appears mentioning that some files on the Windows XP CD-ROM are needed. Continue with the Trust driver CD-ROM and again type as driver location "D:\Win2000" (with "D" as example for your CD-ROM drive). Then click "OK".
31. Click "Finish" to complete the hardware installation.
The Trust Compact Scan USB 19200 is now installed and ready to use.
