The raftsman's screen may no longer be flooded with water, but it's flooded with Khan's men. Take down the ones that wait on the screen, then move right to deal with the archers and the other guards that attack. Exit to the right. You come to Thaddeus' Tower and there's a chest there for you to open. Inside is the firebow, some fire arrows, and some cheese. Take them and pull up your map. Select the barracks. When you arrive, exit to the right, go outside, and select the amulet of seeing. Now open the chest. It has fire arrows. Take them!
Grab the fire arrows, pull up the map, and return to Thaddeus' Tower. From there, return to the screen where you just fought the guards and exit through the hole in the wall at the top of the screen on the far right. Exit to the right. Once you reach the entry to the barracks, you meet some opposition. Guards run in from the screen bottom. Take them out and exit at the top of the screen.
You arrive in the barrack bunkroom and guards run in from the top and bottom of the screen. Deal with them and then exit to the bottom of the screen. A corridor stretches to the left before you. Guards rush in from each exit. Finish them, heal, recharge, and exit at the top of the screen.
Kahn, one of Silver's lieutenants, waits on the next screen with a force of guards. He sounds menacing, but by this time you can stand back and pound him and the guards with magic and not worry about getting hurt too much. Once they're all vanquished, scoop up that dragon shield, which protects you for 800 points, and grab that saw-edged bastard sword. Exit to the right.
You reach a corridor decorated with another creepy sun sign. Guards wait for you and drop down from the windows on left and right. Finish them and exit through the screen bottom. A few guards loiter on the stairs in the next scene. Get rid of them and climb the stairs to exit. At the top of the stairs, a strange little green fellow, Gonch, is dancing on the guard tower. David approaches to tell him he may attract unwanted attention to himself that way and he laughs and fires at you, then disappears. Blast at his nearly invisible location with your magic and he drops some gold and a ring of invisibility before running off. Snag the gold and the ring, return to the parapet stairs and open the doors. You still have the barracks key you found in Glass' palace.
After you open the door, have Jug try on the invisibility ring. As soon as it activates, walk through the door. This room has a lot of guards. Take them out with magic and your invisible Jug, then exit through the gate to the top of the screen. You step out onto a platform high above Rain and face off against more guards, including some nasty lizards in purple armor. When you've eliminated them, the Chronicler appears. Recharge, heal, snag the goodies, then save the game.
