MRTG & snmpd probleem.

Ik wil graag enkele statistieken op m'n systeem krijgen door middel van MRTG, ik heb dit pakket geinstalleerd.

Alles gaat goed tot ik de cfgmaker wil draaien.

deze error krijg ik
graphic-lettering.intra is m'n hostname
snmpd is geïnstalleerd en werkt.

ik krijg meermaals deze fout te zien en op het einde krijg ik dit te zien:

Iemand enig idee?

Ik heb gezien dat er al meerdere topics hierover geweest zijn, hier en daar iets gevonden, aangepast, maar ik blijf hetzelfde probleem behouden

SNMP draait niet (op 192.168.1.5).

Of op 192.168.1.5 draaid geen snmp of je hebt geen read acces op de "Public" community staan.

Ik draai met volle tevredenheid al meer dan een jaartje MRTG ( sorry maar wel onder NT4 ) maar tis echt een superpakket.

En zeker als ik het al aan de praat heb gekregen, trek nu alle stats uit al mijn routertjes en switches in leuke grafiekjes

Maaruh ik zou zeggen als je een cisco routertje voorhanden hebt ff snmp in configgen en daar een beetje mee klooien .. dan zal je het zo wel aan de praat hebben ..

Ik heb wel is gehoord dat het leeg gooien van je snmpd.conf wil helpen. Ik weet niet of je dan wel alle opties krijgt die je wilt, maar probeer het is uit zou ik zeggen.

dan heb ik dit uitgevoerd:
./snmpd -a graphic-lettering.intra

maar na het draaien van mrtg cfgmaker nog altijd dezelfde errors.

Ja, dit moet je ergens wegschrijven. In de CfgMaker Manual staat dat je dat met behulp van '--output' kunt doen

Thnx, het is gelukt, had het al dankzij putty, gecopy past naar een config file, maar dan zonder de -base lijnen.

hmm dit werkt trouwens niet hier, maar het was gewoon een cronjob die ik geadd had toen mrtg nog niet werkte met een verkeerd pad

Dan was het pad niet verkeerd, maar je mrtg installatie
