I've got a MSI 6195 (K7pro) motherboard which I bought macrch 1999.
I've got this problem with shutting the system down hen in win2k.
Sometimes the system shuts down propperly, sometimes I see a screen with the mouse pointer visible but frozen and sometimes the system turns into a black screen en I hear the click that it's going to turn of or reboot but then it doesn't.
The system contains the following ellements:
MSI 6195 Bios V1.8
Diamond Viper V770U TNT 2 ultra video
Maxtor 5Gig HD
Cdrom's are unplugged
128 MB memory
One ISDN Adaptor (Eicon Diva)
One Realtek Network Adaptor
One brand new 350W PSU
The only two thing that aren't replaced as to today are the Videocard and the Mainbord. Everything else has been put off or hes been taken out. I recon it is my Mainboard which is broken or something.
Iv'e been playing whith my Bios settings and with my ACPI settings (on/off etc.)
Iv'e been upgrading the Bios to get rid of the problem but it won't Iv'e started whith V1.3.
All the driver updates relating Power management etc have been installed.
Can anyone give a clue or a hint what is wrong? Please I'm all out of options.
