En als laatste nog een feitje waarom de Dutch Power Cows kont schoppen (ook in amerika)
Holstein cows came from Holland where they've been raised for over 2,000 years. In North America, Holsteins are usually black and white in color but in Holland they're usually red and white. Holstein cows were some of the first cows to be brought to North America. In 1630, when Dutch settlers sailed to New Amsterdam, which is now called New York, they brought Holsteins with them. Holsteins are the largest dairy cows and among the best milk producers. So, understandably, they are the most popular dairy breed. Ninety percent of all the milk consumed in the U.S. comes from Holsteins. The average adult Holstein weighs 1,500 pounds.
