Ik blijf aanstaande dinsdag thuis van school voor de singup.Here we are again in this busy time of Planetarion. We all survived the celebrations of Xmas & New Year and hope you enjoyed them also. But, now is
the time for some major developments in Planetarion history by way of a great new round and the introduction of some long awaited and wanted
features.

LIMITED FREE SIGNUPS:
Considering the great success of last round, transferring into a payment model and charging for its services, we are happy to announce that we are in
a position to allow limited FREE signups in the next round of Planetarion. There will of course continue to be paying players who wish the benifits
of galaxy selection (what other limits on free accounts 3mill stop)
FOUR RACES:
We have developed four new races, which will be introduce this coming round, which opens for signup on the 15th Jan 2002. The races will have
different research, different ships and styles of playing them, which will introduce even more strategy, variety on attacks and defence and we
believe a need to work with other players to maximise your combat ability and enjoyment in the game.
25 UNIQUE SHIPS:
An increase in the ships availble for your enjoyment, which is sure to increase strategy, planning and overall enjoyment of your experaince.
NEW ATTACK TYPES:
There are numerous rumours about a new attack type, which can bring a whole new political element into the game, stay tuned.
SERVICE IMPROVEMENTS:
We have at this time enjoyed 1,703 hours of playing this round and been unable to provide only 3 hours of those due to some quickly updated patches
installed over the past months, which is without doubt a seriously marked increase in this service. It is not perfect, which is what we have been
striving to provide, but 99.9% uptime of any real-time online game is a major statement, which few MMORP games with so many players could ever reach.
NEW PORTAL:
We are in the process of totally redesigning our Planetarion portal website where we will improve on previous design and content and have a lot more
sections to interest the community. This will give you the latest announcements, news on alliances, details of battles going on in the game as well
as interviews, columns, downloads, competitions, player profiles, newsletter, target finders, just to name a few and is expected to be implemented
just after game begins on www.portal.planetarion.com. We will also provide this round, totally free hosting for your alliance, to help with
organisation and structuring of your alliances, which will give you a discussion boards, attack/defence planners and nap managers, amongst other
requested things.
PLAY USING MOBILE PHONE:
This round has also seen an increase in mobile phone WAP users accessing Planetarion. With this in mind, we will be increasing the flexibility of
WAP and including a manual SMS system to increase your ability to communicate within the game.
IRC CHAT:
Planetarion has strived from being the first MMORP to introduce its own dedicated IRC network, to providing the best service possible in this ever-
evolving media. We have steadily increase our users on the Planetarion IRC (Internet-relay-chat http://www.irc.planetarion.com) network, which has
proven to be very useful in organising attacks and defence or just to relax and chat with new friends that you meet. Every great alliance uses IRC
not only for the quick real-time response times, but to develop a good strong team of players who have decided to work together to become a winner.
AWARDS:
In honour to the quality of Planetarion, we received the MPOGD Game of the Month award in no less than eight occasions since Planetarion began in
February 2000. This is four times more than any other online game has ever received this award. This includes seven "Game of the Month" awarded in
the past year alone!
UPDATES:
We expect signups for next round to begin on Tuesday 15th January 2002 @ 12:00cest. We will focus all our work to meeting this deadline with a great
deal of information on game changes, released occasionally over the coming week so check out the forums and the portal for more info. We are really
looking forward to the new rounds features and would love to see you enjoying it with us.
