Hier wat ik heb gepost op Ocworkbench forums in Engels, ik copy/paste het maar jullie kunnen vast ook wel Engels
Msg1 :
After I fixed my coldboot problems completly with the C18 bios, I know have another issue, my Membenches in Sisoft Sandra dropped !
Where I first got 950/1050, I now get 750/800 !
With the same hardware and bios settings. I tried several things to solve it :
1. changing DDR slot
2. running w/o pci cards
3. other bios settings ( slower timing and frequencies if they would become higher, but they just get even lower )
4. XP ( installed 2 days ) and WinME.
I can't come up with any other things to do, I guess the bios is slower... What I did notice is that my FSB overclockablility went up....Maybe because of the fact that the speeds went down or something ??
Please let me know if anyone encountered any of these problems also, please post sisoft benches !
System Specs :
Tbird 1000 Axia
Epox 8KHA+ ( 8khi1c18.bin )
Turbo 133 -> 166+ stable...
256 Corsair PC2400
Powercolor GTS PRO 64
Alpha PEP66 Mod. -> Delta @ 7500 rpm
Maxtor 60gb 5400/IBM 18 gig Janus 7200 rpm
Plextor 8432, Asus 50x
Realtek 8139A NIC
Supermicro 760-A Full Tower
A-Open 300w PSU ( Enermax 350W coming up )
MSG 2 :
Reflashed the B026 and 8KHAL00 biosses again, and there again is instability at 166 FSB, but the memory scores are much higher !
951/1118 against 750/810....
Coldboot problem against no problems....
I hope it will be fixed....
However I did find some things out.
1.
The 8KHAL00 bios has beter fsb's. I mean the 166 fsb is 166.70MHz, the B026 is 166.90MHz...
The mem score at 166.90MHz was 954/1122, lil'bit higher.
2.
8KHAL has some other cold boot problem. With this bios it comes to booting windows on soft boot, and then crashes, it starts normal after a reset, with the B026 it doesn't even post.
So now is the boot problem fixed but the memory speeds are BAD. Any ideas?
MSG 3 :
Searched for the C18 bios again from epox, because the usa mirror with biosses was down, now got it from some chinese site, so with this official epox bios i still have the speeds down, and I got one weird lockup the first time I came into windows.... I guess we should forget that one...
Sisoft : 750/797....
