Plextor PXinfo

Hallo,

Vandaag bezig geweest een nieuwe pc aan de praat te krijgen door vanaf een plextor24x proberen w2k te installeren. Helaas, helaas....met een bootflop bleek dat ie wel herkend werd alleen wat hij niet aan te spreken. Abort,retry cancel. Met verschillende cdroms en floppy drives geprobeerd ook op mijn andere eigen systeem waar ook een plextor 24x in zit die de betreffende cdrom en floppy wel probleemloos herkende.

Uiteindelijk contact gehad met plextor welke vermoedde dat de burner defect was...(ook onze conclusie) Nu heb ik via een netwerkinstal alsnog w2k erop gekregen en ook in w2k bleek hij wel als driveletter te benaderen zijn maar een cdrom viel niet te lezen.

Wel kon ik nu PXinfo draaien, het diagnose tooltje van plextor. Wat schetst mijn verbazing:

Maar hetzelfde tooltje eens draaien op mijn eigen werkende systeem met een andere maar zelfde Plextor 24x burner.

Exact het zelfde: ook Burnproof disable! Vreemd want cloned cd zegt wel dat ie Burnproof heeft.

Zouden jullie ook eens kunnen kijken wat dit tooltje bij jullie aangeeft?

Burnproof moet door software worden aangezet. Op het moment dat je pxinfo draait, is die dus NIET aan. Note dan ook dan het regeltje met Burn-Proof er alleen staat op devices die dit ondersteunen!!

De burn proof staat inderdaad uit als je niet aan het branden bent, wordt geactiveerd door je burnprog.
