Azza is another new face for t-break. Although we had heard of them before, we never really got to review anything by them. Through some contacts in Taiwan, we managed to reach them and requested a P4X266 chipset board from them- a few weeks later we found the motherboard in our office. Let's take a look at Azza's offering in the form of PVX2-AV
[..]
The P4X2-AV is the definition of an average board. If you're looking for a no frills solution, the this could be a good board for you. Stability was awesome on this board and combine that with it's good Winstone results, this board would be a good choice for office environment.
Layout: The IDE connectors should have definitely been moved as they cause the cables from the drives to these ports to go over or below your AGP card if you have a slightly longer card. Besides that, we didn't really have any other big complains. 7/10
Features: Not much is the features department. The P4X2-AD version of the board features a good audio solution but we didn't receive that version so cannot really tell you how good the audio is. Besides that, there's no RAID dual BIOS. The BIOS is alright, the amount of features are not great but not bad either. 9/15
Stability/Compatibility: The board performed like a horse and there were no problems with either stability or compatibility at standard or overclocked settings. Full marks to Azza. 20/20
Performance: The board's performance was good in certain benchmarks and average in others. For the office environment, the Azza would be a good contender with it's good Winstone results. For gaming, it would be as good as any decent P4X266 board. 16/25
Overclocking: Selecting an FSB between 100 and 133 in 1MHz FSB increment is the only saving grace of the Azza P4X2-AV. We still cant get over the fact that VCore is available as an option. No Voltage adjustments for DDR or AGP here folks. 7/15
Price/Packaging: Average value- the board is priced reasonable but there really isn't anything that will attract you to it. The included CD is short of a good bundle and the packaging is about as average as it gets. 8/15
Overall experience of reviewer: The P4X2-AV is a good motherboard at heart but it needs to be jazzed up. Azza needs to add some decent features, re-design the packaging and throw is some more software.
Dit komt uit een review van een ander bord, maar zo te zien is er weinig mis met Azza. De doos ga je toch niet gebruiken en laat ik over software maar helemaal niks zeggen..
