Morgan op Abit Kt7a?

Ik had ergens gehoord dat Athlon XP processors (palamino) al niet werkend op de oudere abit kt7a's en dan zou de morgan dus ook niet werken..

Heeft iemand ooit ergens een Morgan te koop gezien, of werkend gehad op een wat ouder kt133a moederbord?

Anders kijk ff op de site van abit voor een biosupdate.
Meesatl ondersteunen ze hem dan wel.

Maar waarom zet je er dan geèn 1333 op.

1333Mhz? tbird? xp of morgan?

heb maar een beperkt budget van rond de 250,- maximaal
heb al een Tbird 1.4Ghz gesloopt, nieuewe gekregen en die toen per ongeluk getoast. (geloof me, ik was overcautious)

Only version 1.3 of the KT7A and KT7A-RAID officially support the AthlonXP processor. These motherboards require a BIOS flash to version 5S or later of the BIOS for automatic support. All other KT7 motherboards (including KT7, KT7-RAID, KT7E and version 1.2 or earlier of the KT7A and KT7A-RAID) do not officially support the AthlonXP, although a few users have had success. The motherboard version can be identified by the bar coded sticker near the ISA slot. Likewise, according to ABIT technical support the Duron (Morgan core) is only supported on the version 1.3 of the motherboard

DAn maar een leuke 1Ghz axia of 2e hands cpu zien te vinden. tnx iig voor de moeite. jammer.

Ik zie dat je nu een T-bird @980 Mhz hebt, de Morgan (1,0Ghz??) zal niet veel sneller zijn, misschien na wat overklok werk wel maar de winst zal marginaal zijn. Ik denk dat je beter even kunt doorsparen en er een dan een XP 1800+ op zetten. Die is wel aanzienlijk sneller dan je huidige processor, en moet met de Kt64 bios van ABit wel werken op je bord.
