1. What do u need:
DVB-S/C Card
Windows (98/ME/2k/XP) with Direct X installed
Free HD-space ;-)
PC @ 300 MHz
New key file (for decrypting channels found @the bottom of this page or is included)
It's not needed to have a Common Interface or Smartcard it's all done with Softcam...!!!
Supported DVB-S Cards:
Galaxis/siemens DVB-S Technotrend DVB-S Skystar-1 (not 2..!!)
Update Patched DLL HAL-Driver
(Old one have bad registration info inside)
No more error message on Skystar1 DVB-S
Multidec-HAL-Driver MDHALDR could not be registerd.!
Solution: -Uninstall Windriver, in registry delete windriver and HAL-treiber(driver) reboot after that.

Extract MD80_English.rar from you're download directory and run Multidec.exe
For Seca/Irdeto and Betacrypt download Softci 1.2 and MD80.dll.zip for the logger.
Extract MD80Dll.zip and place the extracted files in the root of Multidec.
Place the Updated march keyfile also in the root of MD.

Multidec can now decode Viaccess, download this MD-via file (Viaccess keys are included), extract and place the Dll in Multidec, before start make sure Softci.dll is disabled, move it temp away or rename it-this is very important....!!!!!!!
Update: Seca and Irdeto are now added to the MD-Via file version V3 ATM

When you want to hear an AC3 sound with MD 8.0, just extract and copy mdac3out.dll to MD directory
set AC3 PID in MD's channel list correctly (Ex. 257 for PRO7 on ASTRA) go to the menu "AC3" and press "start"
I have noticed and many more that AC3 menu only appears in Win98 or WinME

3. Program Configuration and channels scanning:
Start Multidec. If the program not starts there's smth wrong with the driver , make sure btw all europeonline software is stopped like Fazzt and also the DVB data app or reboot.
Now is a black field with a menu border before you. Goes first on on the first " Saxxxx " and on LBN to adjustments.
Set the adjustments for the card and LNB by yourself. With LNB I would set however min frequency to 11600 and with channel/available symbol rates only the 27500 and 22000 (otherwise only 0 for all symbolrates).
All you have to do now is scan all channels. Goto Kanäle/Scannen/Alle Frequenzen and hit start. Scanning may take some time!!
If it's all 2 much work you can import a Updated DVB settings list from HERE all astra channels and other sat's/ transponders.
Works for Palco-PPV , select kanale/import channel list to import the list's.

I use Mediamasters Settings Editor to sort the channels out.
Others are The Humax settings converter to *.DVB list and the Conventer Multidec(programm.set)->DVB (programm.dvb) Tnx to oldmen
The channel list has to be sorted out to much crap in it now, Goto Channels/Channel list/Configuration and check the box under Digital Programme.
Approx 500 channels will apear in the list. ca. 100 Free To Air and ca. 200Decrypted channels or more
4. Doublecheck:
Are channels available? Does one get picture and tone with unencrypted programs? (otherwise LNB or other is falsely adjusted) ,is above on the right logging and the soft Ci menu enabled.? (Not needed when using the english Multidec all is include) (MDsoftci.dll from MD80dll.zip must be located in the root of Multidec!!)
And do u have the keys in Soft-Ci/Soft-Cam ? (The key file has to be also in the root as said above!!)
Dont change this!
To the point:
For each programm you need a key wich is stored in a key file (see above). Untill now only betacrypt/Irdeto and Seca programms can be decrypted. Select a channel ( decrypted offcourse ) from the list, make sure it's broadcasting and not decrypted with Viaccess (for example we try Taquilla 6).
Double click on the channel to see the properties.
Down left in the window there's one line, 0100 Seca, Double-click on the first (0100 Seca ect) and the valid ECM pid will appear in the ECM field (1570) now with Accept the ECM is saved and will not have to be filed in each time you switch channels, ECM is very important goto the"Soft-CI/Soft-Cam"menu. in that window a ECM-Pid and a key are required. The key is in the files stored and..
Called "Start mit Key-Dateien". But first the ECM-Pid has to be entered, The ECM-Pid is formatted the following way 0xXXXX where XXXX is the ECM, which we read as above appear in the little ECM filed when double-clicking the first decryption in line this is only when the current channel has no picture to check :-)
STRIKE. Now u have a picture and a sound and this windows will pop-up, this may not take any longer than 3 seconds, otherwise the ECM-Pid is wrong, or the current channel doesnt broadcast ATM
Note: every channel has it's own ECM-Pid...!!!!!!!!!!
5.Technical:
Actually one can " decode " each channel, since one keeps the data unencrypted, but the hardware blocks these and lets it through only with the cards. This software pretends the PCI card a premiere or other card or lets the hardware through the data to the software. The keys are modified repeatedly by the ECM and must be updated.
6. Any questions:
Often are several encodings (and EMCs) in the window. First try out Irdeto if it not works try Seca.
Some programs leave themselves not to be decoded (no signature for keys)
Either one needs the new keys, or the channel cannot be decoded for example some ORF/Taquilla channels.
Sometimes the pictures/sound does freeze up on Multidec it's course of the decoding, close Multidec and restart it again.
Can I also use the Tv-output of the Sat card , if one decodes? Yes, even if Multidec is minimized that goes still, since the audio and video data go directly from the card to the output.
6.Tips
Recording With Multidec
To view recorded mpeg's from Multidec a different codec/player is needed to open it in Mediaplayer

Sometimes Multidec doesnt want to start again after it's been up for a few times , deleting the multidec.ini stored in Multidec's directory will make you boot again sometimes :-)
