LiteOn en Cactus Datata Shield protection

Ik ben van plan mijn brander te vervangen en kijk zo eens rond. Tot nu toe 3 branders gezien welke het zouden kunnen zijn. De Teac, LiteOn of Plextor 24x, alledrie kunnen ze overweg met SD2 en zijn gewoon goed.

Dus de voorkeur gaat dan uit naar de Liteon, scheelt toch ruim honderd piek (en de teac heb ik nergens gezien).

Maar nu kom ik het volgende tegen op het CDFreaks forum

No way dude!
The Litey can't handle the new Cactus Datata Shield protection at all!
You can't even get the included mp3 player on those discs to work.......
I tried every software available,but still making coasters,while my ordinairy Ricoh MP7200A cuts through this protection like a knife.....
The Litey is a fine drive,but it's not the ultimate solution to all protections.......

No,only the former version......I'll try this 1,but I don't expect it works.......clonecd,discjuggler and cdmate don't.......

I hate to disappoint you....I have it myself and tried all firmwares to verify,before my statement...
If you use the drive for reading and burning,you'll find out yourself that it simply can't read audiocds,protected with the LATEST Cactus Data Shield,nor you can't extract the tracks or duplicate the cd with clonecd....You can't even play them on your computer with the Litey!!!
And I'm pretty shure it's C.D.S.,because my other drive,a Ricoh MP7200A can play the mp3 files on that disc,which are in the data track of the cd,there's even a mp3player included ,called cactuspj.exe and is developed by midbar.......
The Litey shows only the 13 audiotracks,but not the data track and refuses to play the audiotracks...
The Ricoh shows only the data track,which includes the mp3's,but not the 13 audiotracks and plays the mp3's with the included player...
If I use Exact Audio Copy,even the audiofiles come visible with the Ricoh and I can extract them and burn,making a working copy......
If I do the same with the Litey:....FAILED!!!......

Dat is natuurlijk niet aardig, iemand hier ervaring mee?
