hoi,

dit staat er in readme van setup voor sitecom netwerkkaart
maar ik snap er niets van, want dit is allemaal veel anders in mijn bios setup:

How to Config Your PCI adapter
==============================

1. Go to the PCI configuration item in BIOS setup.
2. Follow the following steps to configure the PCI slot:
a) You should know which slot your adapter is plugged into.
Look for the physical location of the slot on your PCI
motherboard.
b) Set "this device" to "Enable".
c) Set "this item" to "Master".
The PCI adapter MUST be installed in an expansion
slot that supports "Bus Master" mode.
Refer to your system documentation to determine which slots
support Bus Mastering.
d) Some BIOS Setups allow you to select which interrupt line
you can use. In our case, select "INT A" for "this item".
e) Select an IRQ of your choice, and make sure it does not conflict
with existing IRQs in use.
d) Select the "Trigger method" by which the IRQ is assigned or
routed to the PCI slot. Choose the "level-trigger" option.
Multiple PCI adapters can share the same PCI interrupt
and all must use INTA with level-trigger mode.

3. Run the diagnostic program found in the driver diskette.
If a problem arises during the installation, contact your dealer
for support.

Heb het ook gelezen bij mijn kaartje, helemaal niets aan gedaan, deed het perfect.
Had op een gegeven moment ruzie met usb, heb toen de com poorten uitgezet, dan heb je 2 IRQ adressen weer vrij. Even opnieuw opstarten en de kaart gebruikt weer zijn eigen IRQ en niet een gedeelde.
Conclusie:

- kaart erin
- comp. aansluiten en opstarten
- in Win drivers installeren
- kijken of ie het goed doet
- zo ja, niets meer aan doen.

Je hebt wel de neiging om vaak een nieuwe topic te plaatsen. En niet door tegaan in een oude topic of replyen in de oude. Maarja.
Er is een kans dat je PCI bus geen busmastering ondersteund. Moet dan wel erg oud en zeldzaam zijn, maar het kan.
De optie om bussen te disablelen ben ik alleen tegengekomen op server bordjes.
Als deze optie niet in je bios voorkomt staan je pci sloten altijd aan. (Of er moet een of andere wazige jumper op je moederbord zitten)
Probeer de kaart eens bij een vriend(in) in zijn/haar pc.
Weer je tenminste of de kaart wel/niet defect is.
