Voor de zo veelste keer een nieuwe upgrade, hopen dat ze de netcode verbeterd hebben :)

Upgrade 4 (1.40)



New multi-player mission:


* Real Paintball - A fast-paced paintball-style multiplayer game.



New multi-player features:


* New TIME LEFT feature on multiplayer info screen.



New command line argument:


* -cfg command line argument to enable selection of Flashpoint.cfg.




Updated v1.4 game code, including new multiplayer features, optimisations and bug fixes:




1.40 - Added: Estimated Timeleft reporting in MP missions.
1.40 - Improved: Captives in MP mission 2-5Cooperative will join player's squad after being rescued.
1.40 - Fixed: BMP2 commander view selections.
1.40 - Fixed: Host cannot insert markers at briefing.
1.40 - Fixed: SCUD has now 3 cargo seats instead of 4 (4th position was undefined).
1.37 - Fixed: MP parachute on clients when parachute destroyed.
1.37 - Fixed: Freeze detection caused application shutdown.
In certain situations, the application could be considered frozen when is was actually only slow. Now the context.bin is saved, but the application continues running even when it is supposed to be frozen.
1.37 - Fixed: AI: Missile launcher is not prepared if there is no reason to prepare it.
1.36 - Fixed: Crash when joining more than 12 units into a group.
1.36 - Fixed: MP group assigned to detector was not transferred over network.
1.36 - Fixed: Random crash when AI was engaging target and target was deleted.
1.36 - Fixed: APC did very little harm to soldiers when in contact with them.
1.36 - Fixed: Group respawn also enabled for nonleader units.
1.36 - Fixed: Some rows in listboxes was sometimes invisible. (Secondary campaign list bug.)
1.36 - Added: -cfg command line argument to enable selection of Flashpoint.cfg.
1.36 - Fixed: Application freezing detection turned off for dedicated server, as this sometimes caused false warnings and premature server termination.

1.33 - Added: different default values for MaxMsgSend (128) and MinBandwidth (131072) on dedicated server.
1.33 - New: Diffuculty option "Super AI". When this option is enabled, all AI units have maximum skill.
1.33 - Fixed: AI: Added "last visible time" check in visibility matrix. This should avoid firing at target considered visible due to target sharing.
1.33 - Improved: Low skill soldiers have less sensitive eyes and ears.
This make game easier when playing against low skill enemies, and makes the difference between low and high skill more important.
1.33 - Added: external hosts.txt file with list of favourite hosts.
1.33 - Fixed: MP: Airplanes autofiring from MG or unguided missiles.
1.33 - Improved: Global ban list reloads before player is checked.
1.33 - Added: Dedicated server command #vote admin.

1.31 - New: AI: safety check on nearby friendly troops to avoid friendly fire when firing from rifles and machineguns.
1.31 - Fixed: Cars (jeep and BRDM) assumed their weapon is always aimed.
1.31 - Fixed: When firing, line of fire between weapon and target is checked.
The line between eye and target was checked before, which could sometimes lead to friendly fire.
1.31 - Fixed: AI: Grenade launcher could be fired even when not aimed properly.
1.31 - Improved: MP: Helicopter remote prediction more accurate.
1.31 - Fixed: More stable crate and barrel simulation.
1.31 - Added: reporting of MP score in logfile.
1.31 - New: heading is transmitted when assigning targets to gunner. This makes finding targets in MP much easier.
1.31 - Fixed: Tank observer turret direction calculated wrongly (since 1.28).
1.31 - Changed: Turret overaiming fixed.
1.31 - Fixed: Helicopter mouse turning was inconvenient, esp. for light choppers (since 1.29).
1.31 - Fixed: Mavericks were drawn on Su25 wings instead of Ch29-s.

1.31 - Fixed: Korean version - error in WM_IME_CHAR message processing.
1.31 - Fixed: Some units or destroyed objects may be left from previous mission. Such units were displayed, but otherwise inactive ("ghosts").
1.31 - Fixed: when player was killed in vehicle in MP (respawn = "BIRD"), the seagull appeared in the wrong place.
1.31 - Fixed: MP: Remote prediction could cause helicopter or plane explosion.

uit bronnen heb ik vernomen dat de netcode weer stukke beter is geworden, ook zijn er meer functies in de server :)

Net het spel en net begonnen met spelen is wel ff anders dan CS, moeilijk zeg zelfs die eerste missie, 1 shot en je bent dood ...

zou je even willen testen met hoeveel man je op een snelle server kunt spelen zonder te veel lag?

Want na elke update zit ik te denken om ofp te kopen, maar ik wil wel met iets van 32 man spelen

kopen kopen kopen ik had gisteren de upgrade gekocht. Originele Operation Flashpoint had ik al maanden. Maar hij is zeker een aanrader. Alleen moet ik ff multiplayer testen. Wanneer gaan wij van GOT ff online spelen met z'n allen. :7

Jawel hoor alleen is het grote probleem dat voor OFP geen linux dedicated server support is :(
Grootste fout die ze bij BIS konden maken maar ja, nu hopen dat ze hem als nog uitbrengen.
