Switch ook hardwarematig te resetten?

Ik heb hier een switch 3COM superstack II, 3300 12-port. Waarschijnlijk zit hier een wachtwoord in. Het ding is geconfigureerd met VLAN's op bepaalde poorten. Het wachtwoord is niet (meer) bekend bij de systeembeheerder die hier voor mij was.
Hoe reset ik deze switch zodat deze de fabrieksinstellingen weer krijgt?

Kijk ff bij 3COm... Zijn meestal wel standaard sequences voor.... Had hetzelfde probleem met een Cisco routertje. Je moet meestal wel een terminal o.i.d. op de Console port aansluiten, dit soort acties gaat over het algemeen niet via netweerkpoorten.

ja precies is by me edimax router ook zo kan je gewoon rezetten via de console poort

Je kan een 3Com 3300 instellen via de console poort of door dmv bijv. Internet Explorer te verbinden naar het ip adres van de switch. Bij beide is echter een wachtwoord nodig.

Met als wachtwoord:security

Cause The password was changed and now the switch cannot be accessed.


Fix The default password for the "admin" account is no password (just press enter when prompted for the password).

If you can not access the switch try the security account using "security" as login and "security" as password. As soon as you gain access to the switch modify the admin account and re-login as administrator. You should avoid to access as security for administrative tasks.

If you still have no access to the switch, please, contact 3Com to RMA the unit.
