Van een site (die ik hier niet mag noemen ) Zag ik deze appicatie staan en ben misschien wel geintresseerd om de volle 1.23mb te downen

RamDisk XP dramatically improves the I/O performance of all applications running on Windows XP. In tests run with the Intel Iometer benchmark, RamDisk XP shows over 30 times performance improvement over a standard Microsoft cached disk partition on the Windows XP operating system......That translates into a 5 to 10 times improvement in overall application speed for most applications running on Windows XP.... For applications that are pure I/O this means a 30 times improvement in application speed.

A typical user will see dramatic performance improvements in their application speeds, because the disk subsystem is the slowest part of the computer and it slows everything down. In order to access data stored on a disk drive, the user has to wait for the mechanical speed of the disk subsystem. All users need to do to improve application speed is install their applications on RamDisk XP. It looks just like a real drive, except that it is pure software. The software takes less than five minutes to install.

In order to see good results a user should have 256 MB of RAM or more, a minimum of 96MB is required. Fortunately RAM is very inexpensive these days! Windows XP supports up to 4GB of RAM. Users can install their favorite applications on RamDisk XP and run them at blistering speed with no changes to the applications themselves.

RamDisk XP features a patented automatic backup system to the hard drive. This is completely transparent to the user. When the system starts up it restores the contents of the RAM drive to its original state when the system was shut down, this again is transparent to the user.

Gaan spellen dan sneller lopen, of alleen de speed van m'n hd? Ik ben er niet veel wijzer uit geworden en zou wel eens willen weten wat jullie ervan vinden..

klinkt mooi. Volgens mij laadt het de benodigde files alvast in het interne geheugen. Net als virtual drive de image van een cdrom op de HD opslaat en als cdrom station aanmeld bij windows. Het kan goed werken, maar het grijpt wel heftig in op je systeem. Bij een crash is de damage aan je systeem dus behoorlijk lijkt me.

Ik heb slechte ervaringen met dergelijke software, want system restore werkt ook niet 100% meer bij dergelijke trucs. Vraag je af of die paar seconden extra bij het opstarten het waard is...

Omdat het een site is met links voor Edonkey, niet geheel legaal dus en mag dat helaas niet hier Dat was tenminste waar ik het tegenkwam voor het eerst

Ik heb de demo getest en die gaf meteen een BSOD bij boot. Ik kon in safe mode gaan uninstallen.

ik heb het geprobeerd, alleen hij weigert om mijn swapfile op de ramdisk te zetten(XP accepteert het niet).

Waarschijnlijk geen help maar ik de zelfde demo geinstaleerd en dan zonder probleem....en dat naast mijn ramdrive van Bill Gates op W2k.
