Hier is een guide hoe je ACPI omzet naar Standard PC..
Ik heb ook heel vaak de IRQ_NOT_EQUAL blabla gehad maar lag aan de drivers en niet de irq's...
in ieder geval suc6 ermee!
*IMPORTANT*.. create a system restore point before you start this procedure. That way you can always revert back to your old, running, ACPI system if something goes wrong. Do this by clicking your Start button, then selecting "Help and Support" and then clicking on "System Restore" (it's on the right under "Pick a task") and create a new restore point. This is also how you access system restore again if you have to revert back to your system's previous state.
Furthermore, following this procedure will cause XP to redetect *all* your hardware, so have your drivers ready if you use any which aren't included with XP. I do *not* know how XP will handle a RAID setup in this case since I don't use RAID. Use at your own risk.
1.) Go to your device manager. Click on "Computer".. it should say ACPI computer (using a longer term). Bring up its properties, "Driver" tab and click "Update Driver". Then "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)", then "Don't search". You will be given a list with compatible hardware. Select "Standard PC" and hit next. Once you did this, reboot.
2.) You will load into XP as usual, but your screen resolution will suck .. wait for XP to redect all the hardware, which might take a while. Once this is done, reboot again.
3.) Congrats, your ACPI should be disabled by now. Yup that's it already, but there are still a couple things to check. Go to your Device Manager again. Select "View" -> "Show hidden devices" from the menu. Check the items listed under "Computer". I had *TWO* entries for "Standard PC" here. If you have the same do this.. highlight both of them and watch the toolbar with the icons over the listing.. you will be able to remove one of the entries. If you only have one "Standard PC" entry, don't mess with it and proceed to 4.) .. if you had to remove one of the entries, reboot again just to be safe.
4.) Go to your Device Manager again and view the hidden devices. Go to "Non-Plug and Play Drivers". Search for "Microsoft ACPI Driver". Go into its properties, then "Driver". Under "Type", select "Disabled" from the dropdown list. This is *very* important. You can't remove it, you will have to do it this way. Confirm and reboot again.
5.) So far your system will not turn itself off once you ordered XP to shut down. You will be greeted by the "it's now safe to turn off your computer" screen and we don't want that right? Right. So now we will install a handy little thing which will take care of that..
Go to your Control Panel. Select "Add Hardware". Click the "Next" button. The wizard will start searching for hardware, and there doesn't seem to be a way to keep it from doing so.. so just let it do its job. It won't find anything of course, so it will show you two radio boxes. Choose "Yes, I have already connected the hardware". Then you will see a list. Scroll down all the way and select "Add a new hardware device". Click next. Then choose "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)". Scroll down until you see "NT Apm/Legacy Support". That's what you want to install. If it isn't listed, you can also choose to "Show all devices", then go to "Microsoft" and select it from there. Click the funky next button. The hardware will install. Once you are done, reboot.
6.) You are done
No more ACPI. No more all devices sharing the same fux0ring IRQ. Gotta love it.
