Wat Staat er op de 2de Slackware cd ?

Ik vroeg me af wat er op de tweede cd stond van Slackware 8? Deze heet extras.iso.. Is het nodig deze te downen ? Of kan ik met die install.iso meteen aan de slag

extra.iso heb ik zelfs nog nooit zien staan...
dus ook zonder die CD kan je slackware prima installeren hoor
denk dat er gewoon wat extra programma's opstaan ofzo

Je kunt met de eerste direct aan de slag.

Neemt niet weg dat ook ik op zich wel nieuwsgierig ben wat er uberhaupt op staat, die 2e CD...

Ik heb vanmiddag Slack 8.0 voor het eerst geinstalleerd, bevalt me tot nu toe goed, slack is heel erg "zoek het maar uit" en dat vind ik best leuk, een beetje een uitdaging.
Het was voor het eerst dat ik moeite moest doen om X aan de gang te krijgen

Ik heb nog niet eens op die tweede cd gekeken, ik neem aan dat er extra software op staat.

Ik heb net ff gekeken, ik was zelf ook wel beniewd wat er op zou staan, en dit is een quote uit de readme:

     mini-HOWTOs, docs from the Linux Documentation Project, and

    -  Kernel modules for the kernels included with Slackware (2.2.19

     and 2.4.5 in both non-SMP and SMP versions).  If you decide to

     use an SMP (multiprocessor) kernel, you'll need the SMP modules

     from this disc.

    -  "The Pasture" -- things that have been retired from Slackware but

     are still occasionally required in some situations.

    -  Instructions for installing on SGI Visual Workstations that use

     Intel processors (albeit with a slightly older kernel, as newer

     ones no longer work)

    -  Some source code that did not fit on disc three, including XView

     and the BSD games collection.

    -  ZipSlack, a small Slackware installation in .ZIP format.  This is

     designed for use on a "large floppy" such as a ZIP disk, but will

     work with any FAT/FAT32 partition (DOS/Windows).  It's often used

     to teach Linux or programming as it contains a nice collection of

     tools including a C and C++ compiler, perl, and networking tools

     like PPP.
