ik heb een athlon 1.33Ghz met win2k en een netgear fa312 100mbit nic aangesloten op een edimax broadband router.
ik heb net een rtl 8139 vervongen door die netgear.
alleen nu download ik nog maar met 10/20kb/sec vanaf internet en 40 vanaf die upc testsite.
alleen mijn redhat machine die ook zo'n realtek kaart heeft kan nog vrolijk downloaden van de zelfde sites met 90/100KB/sec.
zijn die netgear drivers voor win2k brak ofzo ?

DESCRIPTION
The problem is that the processor and or bus speed is to fast for the PCI bus.
STATUS
This is an issue that has only been seen a ferw times, and it was with generic motherboards.
SOLUTION
One solution is to decrease the bus speed (Be advised that if the bus speed is decreased, so will the processor speed be decreased). The other solution is to find out who the manufacturer is of your motherboard or the computer manufacturer and go to their web site. Once at the manufacturers web site, find your motherboard/computer model # and download the latest bios update available.

het gewone netwerk gaat wel 10MB/sec (100mbit)
das het vage.

kan ook nog full duplex setting zijn?
kan je de kaart handmatig op half duplex zetten?

duplex klopt wel.
maar ik heb net de nic omgewisseld met een rtl8139(zelfde als die linux machine) en hij is nogsteeds traag

heeft iemand enig idee wat dit kan wezen voor vaags ?

mischien een brak pci slot, want het trad op na pc openschroeven?
